Thomas Skinner’s wife Sinead has broken her silence on her husband’s cheating past after the scandal hit headlines this week.

The Apprentice star, 34, admitted to cheating on his wife with Amy-Lucy O’Rourke just weeks after their wedding in May 2022. Claiming the ‘two week fling’ was a ‘moment of madness’ that saw him almost ‘ruin his life.’

Daily Mail revealed that communication between Thomas and Amy-Lucy began on May 13 2022 – just eight days before he married Sinead.

And now a friend of Sinead has reportedly revealed how the star’s wife is really feeling as they confessed she is finding it ‘difficult’.

‘This has of course all been upsetting for Sinead. The attention has been difficult for her as it brings it all back but she is resilient and her family is strong, her marriage is strong,’ they told The Sun on Sunday.

They added: ‘And, as she says, she knew about this more than three years ago and they dealt with the aftermath together back then. This is old news to her, she forgave him then.

What people probably don’t realise is that Sinead is an incredibly strong woman. Tom has described her as his rock and it is so true, she is.’

Daily Mail has contacted Thomas’s representatives for comment.

Thomas admitted to his infidelity in an interview, tearfully stating: ‘The best advice I can give anyone is to be honest and own up.

‘Because we are in an incredible place now. We are strong. It’s forgotten about.’

However ‘secret mistress’ Amy-Lucy later suggested in an interview with the Daily Mail that their secret relationship lasted three months, during which time he said he was in love with her and unhappy with his wife.

Amy-Lucy had also insisted she wasn’t a ‘homewrecker’ after being targeted by trolls.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, the aesthetician said: ‘I just wanted to come on and say thank you to everyone for sending me really nice messages.’

‘Obviously I’ve had a few trolls, but their opinions are clearly not important, because the masses can see through his lies.’

Amy-Lucy went on to insist that she hasn’t revealed the affair for money or for 15 minutes of fame but instead to make clear how badly she feels she has been treated.

‘No-one knows the full story, the story’s massive the story is insane. I’ve had to give recipes I’ve had to show text messages, phone calls, voice notes, CCTV. There’s message with me saying “I cant believe you’ve done this to me”  I’ve proved it.’

Before adding: ‘It’s not about money it’s about speaking my truth and about what Thomas put me though.’

The Welsh dancer, 35, was partnered with JB Gill during last year’s series, however she sadly had to withdraw from the competition due to injury.

Thomas gave a shoutout to his three children and wife in his introduction video as he revealed they will be watching every week’s show at home.

Speaking to Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman he admitted he feels like the ‘underdog’ of the competition: ‘I am buzzing to be here, what an opportunity.

‘I do feel like the underdog, as the only dancing I have done is at wedding’s after a couple of beers. But I will give it my best and I will learn.’
