Billie Eilish ‘can’t stop crying’ after Justin Bieber serenade

Billie Eilish is still processing her emotional Saturday night at Coachella, which saw her teenage idol Justin Bieber pull her up on stage.

Justin, 32, performed his headline slot to another huge crowd on weekend two of the California festival, and his second night was packed full of surprise celeb appearances.

Big Sean, Sexxy Red and SZA all took to the stage for duets with Justin, but it was Billie’s appearance during One Less Lonely Girl that had fans, and the singer herself, in tears.

Pushed onto stage by Justin’s wife Hailey, who she had been watching the performance with, an emotional Billie, 24, was serendaded by Justin in a nod to their first meeting at the festival in 2019.

The moment was a full circle one for the superfan, who grew up with posters of Justin covering her walls, whilst her parents even revealed they once considered therapy for her because her obsession with his ‘As Long As You Love Me’ music video was so intense.

Posting on Instagram after her big moment, Billie shared a close up selfie as she admitted ‘can’t stop crying.’

Her mother Maggie Baird, who was watching from the crowd with Billie’s brother Finneas, posted a lengthy message thanking Justin and Hailey for making her daughter’s ‘dream come true’.

Billie’s mom shared pictures and video from the festival which showed the singer in floods of tears as she prepared for the big moment and Maggie thanked Justin for showing such ‘kindness’ to her daughter.

‘One of the most touching moments ever,’ she wrote. ‘It sounds crazy, but we watch our children develop these deep deep connections to artists who move them and usually there’s nothing in our power to do.

‘But we buy them records and maybe buy them a ticket to a concert (or a movie of a concert in our case because we couldn’t afford to see an actual concert).

‘Watching this crazy unimaginable dream come true over many years is so incredible.

I’m so grateful to Justin Bieber for the kindness he has shown Billie and to our whole family and to [Justin’s wife] Hailey who makes so many things wonderful and possible.’

Hailey commented on the pos, gushing: ‘so special’ and ‘love you guys’.

Billie first met Justin at her first Coachella in 2019, when she was 17 years old. Since then they have remained close friends, with the older singer taking on a protective role over her in the music industry.

Justin headlined the second weekend of the festival and packed his set with surprises for the crowd, with the Baby star bringing out SZA to for a performance of Snooze, while he also sang with Sexyy Red on Sweet Spot and Big Sean on both As Long As You Love Me and No Pressure.

Among the highlights of Justin’s YouTube section – which featured lengthier clips than the previous weekend – was him singing along to a young-aged cover of himself performing Justin Timberlake’s Cry Me A River.

The singer appeared more upbeat than the weekend before and even went into the crowd while performing Speed Demon.

At one point, he warned his ‘adrenaline is through the roof’ and he might have trouble talking to the crowd because of the people around him, but the hoardes of screaming fans didn’t seem to mind.
