Garnacho sparks anger as he posts picture wearing Rashford Villa shirt

Alejandro Garnacho angered Manchester United supporters after winger opted to wear the shirt of a Premier League rival while on holiday.

Garnacho was last month told to find a new club by Man United boss Ruben Amorim, with the winger informed of the news at Carrington just days after their Europa League final defeat against Tottenham.

The Argentine winger had been unhappy to be left on the bench for more than 70 minutes of the final, while his brother Roberto had accused Amorim of ‘throwing him under the bus’ in Bilbao.

Garnacho and his brother appeared to signal their disagreement with the team selection on social media posts before the match, while he had apologised for expressing disappointment at his substitution in an Instagram post back in February.

His social media activity has again angered Man United supporters after Garnacho shared photos from his holiday to Ibiza, one of which included a picture of him wearing Marcus Rashford’s Aston Villa shirt.

Garnacho and Rashford have both reportedly been exiled by United boss Ruben Amorim

Amorim will reportedly not include Garnacho and Rashford in United's squad for the USA tour

Rashford had spent the second half of last season on loan at Villa after being axed by Amorim.

The forward is set to be exiled from United’s pre-season tour of the USA, according to reports, along with Garnacho, Antony and Jadon Sancho.

Having fallen out of favour under Ruben Amorim, the quartet are reportedly set to train alone at Carrington if they are unable to find new clubs by the time the tour starts in July.

Rashford showed his support for Garnacho as he commented: ‘My brother’ along with a heart emoji.

However, many United fans certainly weren’t pleased with Garnacho’s post and the fact that he was wearing the shirt of a rival Premier League club.

One fan wrote: ‘Villa shirt? C’mon mate, get a grip’.

Meanwhile, another stated: ‘Really? Wearing a Villa shirt’.

One supporter suggested that Garnacho and Rashford should both leave United.

They wrote: ‘Off you go with him. This is the reason you’re no longer wanted by Amorim, your attitude. See ya’.

Another fan claimed that Garnacho’s decision to wear a Villa shirt was ‘madness’.

They wrote: ‘To wear another Premier club’s top is madness and proves you clearly are not mentally ready for the next level’.

Furthermore, another fan stated that Rashford had lost the respect of supporters as they wrote: ‘You’ve lost the respect of majority of United fans especially those that have backed you’.

In addition, another added: ‘There’s a line and you just crossed it’.

In other pictures Garnacho can be seen drinking with friends and relaxing in a swimming pool.

Garnacho has played 144 games for United and has scored 26 goals but his future appears to lie away from the club.
