People can’t believe I’m not Margot Robbie after I lost 12 stone

When Ellie Jeffries lost nearly half her bodyweight, she never imagined she would gain a celebrity lookalike.

But just months after spending £20,000 on weight loss surgeries with her husband Ryan, 30, the 26-year-old has been told she’s a dead ringer for Barbie star Margot Robbie.

The 35-year-old Australian actress, who regularly tops the world’s sexiest women lists, has high cheekbones, wide set eyes and tumbling blonde locks—and since dropping from 23 stone to 11 stone, so does Mrs Jeffries.

After the couple’s his ‘n’ hers surgery journey went viral on TikTok, the East Midlands 26-year-old clocked up thousands of views again when she hopped on a video trend of celebrity lookalikes.

She shared a picture of herself before losing weight, saying: ‘Kylie, make me pretty like you.’

A picture of lip liner mogul Kylie Jenner appears, with the writing: ‘Ask Margot.’

A shot of the Hollywood actress can then be seen, with the text: ‘I’ve got you.’

The post then swaps to a recent picture of Ellie, showing the dramatic change in her appearance, and her visible similarities to Margot.

The post racked up more than 290,000 likes and left viewers stunned by the likeness.

One follower commented: ‘Omg Margot Robbie!! You go girl, banging glow up!’

Another said: ‘This is the first one of these that I’ve been actually blow away by.’

Someone else commented: ‘You could be her sister!’

Mrs Jeffries made headlines after flying to Turkey to have a gastric sleeve fitted, alongside her husband Rhys, after years of disordered eating led their weights to swell.

Back in January 2022, Ellie weighed 23 stone and was desperate to get out of food addiction.

The gastric sleeve procedure removes some of your stomach, so you are unable to eat as much as you could before and feel full up sooner.

The couple shed 24 stone between them—with Ellie now weighing 11st and Rhys dropping from 26st to 14st 5lbs.

The bulk of their weight gone, they were left with unsightly flaps and rolls of loose skin, prompting them to return to Turkey for a ‘couple’s tummy tuck’.

Mrs Jeffries had 15lbs of loose skin removed from her stomach, along with a breast uplift and reduction.

While there she also had an armpit lift, back lift, and liposuction to further refine and sculpt her new body.

‘Having the surgeries done together meant that we could really support each other.

‘We encouraged each other throughout our recovery, and it felt nice to do the final part of the transformation together,’ she explained.

The couple have spent a total of £20,000 funding their new, healthier bodies, but now all their cash will go on the next phase of their life.

Mrs Jeffries said: ‘We put buying a house on hold because, by this point, we were desperate to lose weight.

‘Anything we had saved in the bank needed to be used to save our lives.

They are now looking forward to a healthier future together

‘Some people there say we cheated, but nobody understands the mental side of having the surgery.

‘We’ve had to completely change the way we think about food.

‘A lot of work has gone into becoming who we are today – the surgery was just the beginning.

‘We track our calories daily and work extremely hard to maintain our weight and stay healthy.

‘Our results have been incredible. Losing weight is the best thing we have ever done.

‘We are both over the moon, feeling very active and ready to do life!’

While Mr and Mrs Jeffries underwent their bariatric surgeries abroad, it is offered on the NHS.

Weight-loss surgery, such as gastric bands or bypasses, is an option for those with a BMI of 40 or more, or for patients with a BMI of over 35 with other conditions such as Type 2 diabetes.

Earlier this year, NHS chiefs also approved the ‘King Kong’ of weight loss medication, Mounjaro, as an option for patients with a BMI over 40 and at least four comorbidities.

However, figures revealed that not everyone who is eligible is receiving the treatment due to funding black holes.
