Barcelona legend surprises fan at the Champions League final

Champions League icon Xavi surprised a fan at the Champions League final in a partnership with Heineken.

A supporter won a competition with the brand to watch the game inside the Puskas Arena, but found himself in an isolated seat with no one around. Until Xavi pounced.

The Barcelona legend, who won the Champions League four times, revealed a hidden second seat, designed to flip the experience from a lonely one to one of the most social.

The campaign looked to highlight that football should be a social activity, even if sat alone.

The fan, named Forest, and Xavi were taken into Heineken’s Skybox to watch the match, and went down to pitch-side post-match to celebrate as Paris Saint-Germain lifted the trophy after defeating Arsenal.

Xavi said of the experience: ‘As a player, some of my best memories in football came from sharing big moments with team-mates and fans.

‘The Champions League Final is the biggest stage in club football, and you never know who the game might bring you together with along the way.

‘It was special to help Heineken turn Forest’s seat into an experience they will never forget, and to show the power football has to connect people who may only have met because of the match.’
