A major fire has broken out at Warburtons bread factory, causing thick plumes of smoke to fill the sky.
Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a fire at a commercial property in Burnley just before 3pm on Monday.
Footage shows a huge cloud of black smoke rising into the air, with nearby residents advised to keep their windows and doors shut.
Warburtons confirmed that the building was evacuated and there were no injuries reported. The cause of the fire and the full extent of the damage is not yet known.
David Fishwick, the real-life person behind Netflix’s Bank of Dave, was flying around the area in his helicopter when the fire broke out and took to social media to offer assistance.
‘I’m flying over Burnley, & the Warburtons factory & trucks are on Fire! The fire engines have just arrived! Let me know if you need anybody airlifted to the hospital!’ he wrote.
‘My helicopter can carry five & I’m available to help immediately! Hope everyone is safe.’

Warbutons said the bakery was safely evacuated and reported no injuries. The cause and full extent of the damage from the fire are not yet known
At least 12 fire engines are currently at the scene amid efforts to get the blaze under control.
A Warburtons spokesperson said: ‘We can confirm that a fire is underway at our Burnley bakery, thankfully everyone has safely been evacuated from the building.
‘We are grateful to the fire brigade who are currently working extremely hard to get the fire under control. We don’t know the cause of the fire, or the full extent of the damage as yet.’
A Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: ‘At 14:45 today fire crews from across Lancashire were called to a commercial property fire on Billington Road, Burnley.
‘Currently there are 12 fire engines in attendance. If you can see or smell smoke, please keep your windows and doors closed.
‘Please stay away from the area to avoid hindering firefighting operations.’
