Tucker Carlson DISOWNS Donald Trump as he apologizes to fans

Tucker Carlson issued a groveling apology for endorsing Donald Trump amid his dramatic fallout with the President.

The former Fox News host condemned the commander in chief during an interview with his brother, Buckley Carlson, a former Trump speech writer, on Monday’s episode of The Tucker Carlson Show.

‘You wrote speeches for him, I campaigned for him. I mean, we’re implicated in this, for sure,’ Carlson said to his brother.

‘It’s not enough to say, “Well I changed my mind,” or like, “Oh this is bad, I’m out.” It’s like in very small ways, but in real ways, you and me and millions of people like us are the reason this is happening right now.’

‘Yes,’ Buckley chimed in.

The right-wing commentator continued, ‘So I do think it’s like a moment to wrestle with our own consciences. You know, we’ll be tormented by it for a long time.

‘I will be, and I want to say I’m sorry for misleading people, and it was not intentional. That’s all I’ll say.’

Carlson’s disownment comes as the once fierce MAGA ally and the President appear to be in an escalating feud.

Last week, Carlson suggested Trump may be the ‘antichrist’ after the president posted controversial AI images of himself as Jesus and posing with Christ.

He called out a Truth Social post from Trump on Thursday showing him being embraced by Jesus, with Carlson claiming the image aligned with warnings from the Bible.

Carlson said the Bible cautions a figure like Trump could emerge in the future, described as a ‘man of lawlessness’ – or the ‘antichrist’ – who leads people against religion.

He suggested Trump matches the scripture’s description of this entity, as a ‘man who will oppose and exalt himself over everything that is worshipped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple proclaiming himself to be God.’

‘He will pose as God,’ Carlson continued. ‘He will mock other Gods, and put himself in their place.’

He concluded in his episode that while he was previously an ardent Trump supporter, the President has driven him away with his religious social media posts about himself.

‘To a lot of Christians, these predictions in both the Old and New Testaments seem to fit what we are watching,’ Carlson said.

‘Here is a leader who is mocking the Gods of his ancestors, mocking the God of Gods, and exalting himself above them. Could this be the antichrist?’

Meanwhile, in a series of public attacks, the President has repeatedly mocked Carlson, calling him a ‘low IQ’ person and, in a Truth Social post earlier this month, lumped him together with other conservative commentators.

‘I know why Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, Candace Owens, and Alex Jones have all been fighting me for years,’ Trump wrote. ‘Because they have one thing in common, Low IQs.

‘They’re stupid people, they know it, their families know it, and everyone else knows it, too! … They’ve all been thrown off Television… they’re NUT JOBS, TROUBLEMAKERS.’

Days later, Trump doubled down, calling Carlson a ‘LOSER’ and suggesting he ‘should see a good psychiatrist.’
