Harry Styles has secured the fastest selling album from a male solo artist in almost a decade as his career rockets further after he dropped his new record, Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally.

The singer, 32, released his fourth studio album last Friday and it has stormed straight to Number 1 on the Official Album Charts, with single American Girls taking the top spot on the Singles Chart.

Harry has had the biggest opening week for a male solo artist in almost a decade, since Ed Sheeran’s ÷ (Divide) in 2017.

According to Official Charts Company data, Harry’s new album sold in excess of 183,000 copies in its first seven days, 70,000 more copies than his 2022 record Harry’s House.

The record has also topped the Official Vinyl Albums Chart and nets Harry the biggest opening week on vinyl of his career, with over 66,000 sleeves sold in the past seven days, smashing his previous 36,000 best with Harry’s House.

The huge vinyl sales also means the former One Direction star has secured the biggest selling vinyl of 2026 so far.

Harry has previously had Number 1 singles with Sign of the Times (2017), As It Was (2022) and Aperture (2026).

The singer’s record was released on March 6, and features hints of disco and rock, with nods to LCD Sound System, Prince-style funk and The Durutti Column throughout.

The track list is as follows; Aperture, American Girls, Ready, Steady, Go!, Are You Listening Yet?, Taste Back, The Waiting Game, Season 2 Weight Loss;

Coming Up Roses, Pop, Dance No More, Paint by Numbers and Carla’s Song.

Harry was hailed ‘brave’ and ‘free of self consciousness’ in early reviews ahead of the release of his fourth studio album, Kiss All The Time, Disco Occasionally.

The album has been described as his ‘most playful, bold and experimental to date’, as he offers a vulnerable approach to exploring his feelings around ‘relationships, adulthood, the loss of innocence.’

The exciting achievement comes a day before Harry is set to host Saturday Night Live.

It comes as Harry has a new income stream – making cash with a series of shrewd stock market ventures.

The hitmaker has almost £40million in his company Erskine Investments Ltd and made around £2.5million in profit on canny deals.

Newly published, inaugural accounts for the business show it has a capital gains tax bill of £590,000, which is levied on the profits made from share deals.

It shows the company has £27million in listed investments and a further £12million in short-term deposits.

His overall fortune was put at £225million by the Sunday Times Rich List last year.

Harry came in 22nd on the list, behind the like of Ed Sheeran, who came in at number 13 with £370 million and Adele in 26th place.

He found fame as a member of boyband One Direction before embarking on a successful solo career which has seen him release a series of hits, including As It Was and Watermelon Sugar.

Last week, Harry held a One Night Only concert at Manchester’s Co-op Live Arena in celebration of his latest record Kiss All The Time, Disco Occasionally.

The night saw Harry play tracks from the new album before closing out with hits from his three previous #1 studio albums such as Golden and As It Was.

Footage from the sold-out show was quickly turned around and featured in a Netflix special which was released over the weekend.

During Harry’s gig, he yearned for ‘kindness and love’ in an emotional message to fans in the packed arena.

He thanked fans for coming out before appearing to touch on the conflict in the Middle East, saying the world ‘could use a little extra peace right now’.

The gig was a strictly no phones zone, but a fan at the intimate concert made note of Harry’s emotional speech and shared it to their Instagram fan account HS News 2.

Tickets for the hotly-anticipated gig were dished out via a ballot and cost just £20 for those enough lucky to grab one.

And some mega fans even managed to get tickets at the very last minute outside the venue – with their delight evident as they were seen screaming.
