How William channels Beckham style and Hollywood charm at same time

How William channels Beckham style and Hollywood charm at same time,

Prince William’s appearance at Wimbledon on Sunday was a sign of the ‘very glamorous future of our monarchy’ with a touch of Hollywood, according to an expert.

All eyes were on Kate, Princess of Wales, who made a surprise appearance at the Women’s Final on Saturday where she wore a striking white Self-Portrait dress and her iconic Wimbledon bow.

Royal observers had speculated whether Kate would be seen at the championship this year after she pulled out of Ascot and spoke openly last month about her challenges following her cancer treatment.

The following day, the Princess was accompanied by two of her children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, alongside William, who observers couldn’t help but point out how handsome he looked.

William, named the world’s sexiest bald man for two consecutive years, usually sticks to autumn colours but wore a pair of crisp, white linen chinos and a double-breasted blazer to attend the tennis tournament.

A Threads user posted two pictures of William at Wimbledon on Sunday with the caption: ‘That’s got to be the hottest heir apparent that I have ever seen.

‘That suit is tailored unlike any suit I have ever seen! When did he become so good-looking?’

The thread, which received more than 2.4K likes, included comments from people commenting on how ‘handsome’ and ‘hot’ he looked.

A comment beneath the thread read: ‘William looks amazing… He definitely brought the heat to Wimbledon.’

Hilariously, William’s outfit was almost a total match for Hollywood actor, Henry Cavill, who also wore a navy blazer and white trousers and an almost identical shirt at the All England Club.

Brand and Culture Expert, Nick Ede, told MailOnline: ‘William is looking really good and it looks like he’s embracing his 40s with style and sophistication.

‘You can see that he’s been grooming and also his style, although it has not changed for many years, looks smart and much more tailored than usual.

‘Traditionally, the Royal Family have always gone for suits that are well-fitted but not particularly tailored. I think he’s taking a leaf out of his friend David Beckham’s book and showing that you can look great at any age.

‘This is our future King who was a poster boy for many teens when he was younger and now he’s beginning to take care of himself and looking more like a Hollywood leading man than a traditional royal.

‘He’s tall, fit and handsome and it feels like this glow up, along with Kate, shows them to be the very glamorous future of our monarchy.’

William is known to be a long-time friend of David Beckham, 50, who was knighted last month in recognition of services to sport and to charity.

Husband to fashion designer Victoria Beckham (aka Posh Spice) David is known for his overtly masculine style, signature leather jacket and muted colour palette.

And it seems William could be following suit.

Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told MailOnline: ‘William’s outfit at Wimbledon shows his fashion sense is reflecting his transition from heir to the throne to King one day.

‘He looked stunning, his crisp white trousers were symbolic of the Wimbledon dress code, especially as Catherine had looked stunning in a white Self-Portrait two-piece outfit on the Saturday.

‘His white shirt was complemented by a blazer and the effect was striking as it was intended to be.

‘His beard has given him a rather rugged look which has enormous appeal.

‘He has always been stylish, tending to prefer autumnal colours, but his outfit at Wimbledon reminded me of Queen Elizabeth’s comment “I must be seen to be believed”.’

Kate, known for her sophisticated working wardrobe, has a great eye for fashion and once worked as an accessories buyer for Jigsaw.

On X, one royal fan asked: ‘Can we talk about William’s white pants?!?’

Beneath this a user replied: ‘Unexpected choice but ate nonetheless.’

Another X user expressed their approval for William’s appearance by captioning an image of him in the Royal Box: ‘Prince William, whatever you’re doing or eating, keep at it.

‘Because honestly, you’re looking hot. And whoever told you to wear that outfit? Keep them close. They clearly know exactly what they’re doing.’

William also looked dapper on Friday during The Royal Charity Polo Cup 2025.

The Prince previously played in charity polo matches with his estranged younger brother Prince Harry, who lives in Santa Barbara with wife Meghan Markle, son Archie and daughter Lilibet.

Ironically, it seems William is the one bringing Hollywood glamour.

This comes as The Mail on Sunday exclusively reported that King Charles and Harry’s senior aides held a secret peace summit, marking the first significant move to resolving their family feud.

Sources said last week’s meeting was the initial step in a ‘rapprochement process’ to restore the broken relationship between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the rest of the Royal Family.

It is not known whether it was Charles or Harry who extended the olive branch, but insiders said the summit is the strongest sign yet of the determination on both sides to resolve the bitter House of Windsor feud.

‘There’s a long road ahead, but a channel of communication is now open for the first time in years,’ said a source.

‘There was no formal agenda, just casual drinks. There were things both sides wanted to talk about.’

Harry was represented by Meredith Maines, his chief communications officer and head of his household in Montecito, California, who flew in from Los Angeles.

She met Tobyn Andreae, the King’s communications secretary, at the Royal Over-Seas League.

Also present was Liam Maguire, who runs the Sussexes’ PR team in the UK.

It was Ms Maines who organised Harry’s BBC interview in May in which he said he ‘would love a reconciliation’ with the Royal Family, but that the King ‘won’t speak to me because of this security stuff’.

The Duke was referring to the removal of his automatic police security detail in Britain, which he called an ‘old-fashioned establishment stitch-up’ and suggested his father could have resolved the situation.

Ms Maines is understood to have reported straight to the Duke. She is based at the Sussexes’ £15 million mansion, from where they conduct their affairs, rather than using a separate office.

A seasoned Silicon Valley strategist with past roles at Google and a software company, Ms Maines spends most days at Meghan and Harry’s home managing their day-to-day operations and overseeing a team of eight staff.

She is the most senior aide in the newly formed ‘Sussex Royal Household’, which was formed last month in a bid to emulate the rigid hierarchical structure Harry operated in when he was a working member of the family at Kensington Palace.

Ms Maines is said to have masterminded the unveiling of the duchess’s Netflix show With Love, Meghan, and her lifestyle brand As Ever.

Nick Ede said: ‘I think it’s interesting that these peace talks are happening.

‘Charles has been sick and no one knows the extent of his illness but he is probably getting things in order for when he decides to pass on the Crown to William.

'There's a long road ahead, but a channel of communication is now open for the first time in years,' said a source

‘I am sure that he wants to spend the rest of his life with a relationship with his son and his grandchildren.

‘It will be interesting to see how this maps out but I’m sure both parties will want some kind of resolution before it’s too late and they regret their actions

‘I think there is still a long way to go with Brand Sussex – they still don’t know what they stand for and who their target audience is.

‘Harry’s private life is just that, private. And although he’s used it to make money like any kiss-and-tell celebrity, he also does have a lot of life ahead of him and a family that protected him and loved him for many years.

‘I think that he could possibly carve out a relationship with the King and I hope he does.’

This brings fresh hope to the possibility of a reconciliation between the brothers and King Charles.

In the meantime, royal observers will keep a close eye on William’s evolving wardrobe.
