The Princess of Wales may have a busy schedule as a working member of the Royal Family, but first and foremost she is a wife and mother to three children.

With frequent engagements taking her away from home, it’s no surprise she chooses to keep Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis close to her heart.

That was certainly the case when Kate wore an initial necklace featuring ‘G’, ‘C’ and ‘L’ while visiting the education charity IntoUniversity alongside Prince William on their 15th wedding anniversary.

The necklace was by Daniella Draper, one of Kate’s favourite jewellery brands, with the Princess owning nine pieces from the luxury label.

Kate has several personalised necklaces in regular rotation, many of which are still available to shop, as I explore below.

For those looking to recreate her style for less, scroll down for my edit of the best alternatives.

Daniella Draper gold Keeper’s Heart trace chain necklace

The latest addition to Kate’s growing collection of Daniella Draper pieces is the Gold Keeper’s Heart Trace Chain Necklace, debuted during an engagement at Lambeth Palace.

Handcrafted from 9-carat yellow gold, it symbolises love and connection.

The heart-shaped pendant can be engraved with handwriting or a drawing, and can also be finished with diamonds for an extra-special touch.

Kate’s own engraving remains private, though it is believed to hold personal significance.

All the Falling Stars personalised gold three layered disc necklace

Kate was gifted this dainty disc necklace during a royal tour in Galway, Ireland, in March 2020.

The 14-carat gold design features three layered discs overlaid with a hammered finish, and Kate’s was personalised with the initials of her three children.

She has worn the piece on two occasions to date.

Daniella Draper personalised Midnight Moon necklace

Kate has worn her personalised Midnight Moon necklace on 12 occasions, making it one of her most-loved pieces.

Featuring a single gold pendant representing a full moon, adorned with sparkling diamond stars, the astrological design is hand-engraved with the initials of her children.

It is crafted from recycled solid 9-carat yellow gold and set with three diamonds.

Daniella Draper gold fixed alphabet necklace

Kate’s fixed alphabet necklace from Daniella Draper offers a more playful take on the personalised jewellery trend.

Crafted from recycled 9-carat yellow gold, it features the letters ‘G’, ‘C’ and ‘L’ in tribute to her three children.

She was first spotted wearing the piece during a visit to Scotland in May 2021 and most recently on her wedding anniversary.

Merci Maman The Duchess necklace

Kate was first seen wearing this 18-carat champagne gold-plated necklace shortly after the birth of her first son.

She was photographed browsing Zara Home in Chelsea wearing the piece, which was engraved with ‘George Alexander Louis’.

Additional personalisation options are available, including boy or girl charms, heart pendants and birthdate trinkets, with each piece hand-engraved in Paris.
