Zara Tindall’s style just keeps getting better. During a recent visit to Cheltenham Racecourse, she delivered a masterclass in cold-weather dressing, showing exactly how to wear a leather mini skirt with winter-ready polish.

Zara chose a daring leather mini from Hobbs, teaming it with a roll neck top, Fairfax & Favor knee-high suede boots and her go-to Aspinal of London crossbody bag. She finished the look with a striking teal coat from Karen Millen.

A leather skirt is a versatile wardrobe staple, which can easily be dressed up or down depending on the occasion.

Style it with a cosy knit and boots like Zara, or elevate it with a blouse and heels – either way, a leather mini is a timeless investment you’ll reach for year after year.

With that in mind, we’ve rounded up the best options available on the high street.

While Zara’s exact skirt has sold out, Hobbs offers a near-identical version, and there are plenty of chic alternatives from the likes of Karen Millen, Whistles and Saint + Sofia.

You can also shop a similar teal coat from Karen Millen’s newest collection – and don’t forget to complete the look with Zara’s exact boots and bag, both of which are currently on sale.
