Lily Allen commanded attention as she hit the red carpet at the Fashion Awards at London’s Royal Albert Hall on Monday evening.

The singer, 40, looked sensational in a bold vintage inspired gold gown which featured sophisticated lace detailing and a dramatic train.

Lily’s look also boasted draping and shoulder pads while adding extra sparkle with a diamond choker and pendant earrings.

Styling her raven tresses into curls, the West End Girl hitmaker completed the look with satin bow heels and a sparkly clutch.

This year, the ceremony is being hosted by actor Colman Domingo, who offered a nod to the awards’ UK heritage by dressing in Burberry for the red carpet.

Considered one of the biggest nights in the fashion calendar, the ceremony honours some of the most dazzling names and faces in the global fashion industry – celebrating household names and emerging designers.

The annual event, which started in 1989, was originally known as the British Fashion Awards until 2016, when the name changed to better reflect the global pool of talent being recognised.

First hosted at the iconic Royal Albert Hall, the awards have also been held at the Natural History Museum – four times – and three times at the Victoria & Albert Museum.

They returned to the Royal Albert Hall in 2016, and have stayed there ever since, becoming an annual hotspot for some of fashion’s biggest names.

From Princess Diana and the Spice Girls, to Vivienne Westwood and Karl Lagerfeld, the awards have welcomed some of the world’s most famous faces from fashion and beyond.

The appearance comes after Lily’s claimed the singer ‘ended’ her ex David Harbour with an ‘iconic’ post as she enjoyed Thanksgiving with celebrity pals in NYC.

The pop star stunned fans last month as she released her new album West End Girl, which details the brutal honesty of the breakdown of her four-year marriage to the Stranger Things actor, 50, following his infidelity.

Taking to Instagram Lily showed off a new dazzling emerald ring, after ditching her wedding band, which followers branded an ‘upgrade’ as she caught up with Girls Creator Lena Dunham, 39.

She later enjoyed dinner with french Madeleine cakes for dessert, in yet another swipe at her ex, following her explosive song of the same name, which seemingly sees Lily name her love rival as she repeatedly sings: ‘Who the f*** is Madeline?’.

Sporting a ‘Thanksgiving Rejects’ hat the pop star also received a huge bunch of roses before enjoying two Broadway shows with another famous friend, actress and TikTok star Dylan Mulvaney, 28.

Fans jokingly asked if her busy schedule meant she had been too busy to watch David in the new series of Stranger Things, which was released this week.

Lily captioned the post: ‘Saw plays, saw Wicked, ate turkey, and pancakes, all in A NY Minute. Back in a bit’.

Taking to X fans gushed: ‘Ended David Harbour’: ‘The ring upgrade’: ‘Love love love you powerhouse of a woman. hope the madeleines were free’: ‘Not the madeleines’: ‘Nor the madeleines’: ‘Iconic’: ‘So, not watching Stranger Things’.

David, who plays ex police chief Jim Hopper in Stranger Things, has spent the past few weeks conducting a tricky global press tour in the service of the fifth and final series of the Netflix mega-hit sci fi drama.

He’s been cheerful and warm, and has even cuddled co-star Millie Bobby Brown on the red carpet in LA (even though she reportedly previously sent in a written complaint about his ‘bullying’ behaviour.)

But, until now, the issue of his character, as described in ex-wife’s new album, has remained an elephant in the room.

Hitherto, he’s said nothing about anything which might have happened beyond the fictional town of Hawkins, where Stranger Things is set.

And yet he now appears finally to have broached, at least tangentially, the questions everyone wants answers to. How on earth it came to pass that he allegedly pressured Lily into an open relationship, only to violate the ‘rules’ which they had set. And what it feels like to be outed as a ‘sex addict’, after she claimed to have found a trove of sex toys and love letters at his bachelor apartment in New York.

Speaking about the characters played by himself and Millie Bobby Brown, David said: ‘You know, there are two people that are both lost, that are both heroic, sometimes beyond their capabilities, that both have such big, broad, deep hearts.’

He then reflected: ‘They are both deeply flawed in how they express themselves and make tons of mistakes. That is right up my alley. I love playing characters like that. I love human beings like that. I love humanity.’

In that assessment, of someone who messes up and is flawed, obviously we must include David. Expressing yourself by sleeping with women who are not your wife would certainly count as a flaw.
