Back in November 2022, the Prince and Princess of Wales visited Boston to attend the Earthshot Prize.

Recently, Boston Police Lieutenant Bret LaBelle shared a previously unseen photograph with the royal couple – and fans were quick to notice Kate’s elegant handbag.

The never-before-seen design is by luxury British clothing and accessories label Lalage Beaumont, renowned for its timeless sophistication and attention to detail.

Kate carried the Fonteyn Mignon Orinoco bag in chestnut brown, a polished choice for special occasions.

The structured, vintage-inspired bag is crafted from croc-embossed Italian calf leather, with a central flip lock, gold-plated hardware and a soft suede lining.

It’s finished with a structured top handle and a detachable shoulder strap, allowing it to be carried in hand, over the shoulder or crossbody.

The handbag complemented the Princess’ brown Alexander McQueen coat and Gianvito Rossi suede knee-high boots, creating an effortlessly coordinated ensemble.

While the chestnut shade seen in Kate’s photo is no longer available, the design now comes in a similar taupe hue, along with eight additional colours.

The taupe version – a delectable chocolate brown – is simply stunning. It’s the perfect daytime accessory, pairing with everything from workwear to off-duty outfits.

I also adore the wine iteration, which taps into this season’s love for rich burgundy tones.

Kate isn’t the only royal fan of Lalage Beaumont’s luxury leather bags.

Princess Anne’s daughter, Zara Tindall, and her former sister-in-law Autumn Phillips are also devoted admirers.

Zara has been spotted carrying the sleek Odette Mini Dolomite in wine on at least six occasions, while Autumn favours the Fonteyn Midi Caribou in taupe.

Inspired by the timeless styles of the 1960s, Lalage Beaumont bags are designed to suit all ages, offering lasting appeal and exceptional craftsmanship.

Each piece is handcrafted in Italy and Spain from premium materials, resulting in accessories that are both beautiful and understated.
