First look at M&S’s Christmas food range which lands TOMORROW

  • The retailer has released its Christmas party food range earlier than ever
  • READ MORE: How M&S became cool

Marks and Spencer is releasing its Christmas party food and sandwiches range earlier than ever this year – as festive treats are set to land in store tomorrow (15 October).

The retailer is bringing back fond favourites, including its classic turkey feast sandwich, among its huge range of 35 treats ahead of the Christmas season.

M&S cites customer demand as the reason for its earlier-than-ever launch of the festive range – which includes several brand new items across sandwiches, savoury snacks and desserts.

As the beloved store launches its party food range for keen Christmas hosts, customers can pick up four items for the price of three – including some brand new items.

Among the new party food treats available this year are a Hash Brown Topple Tower, comprised of hashbrown fingers and a tomato dip; plus Fish & Chip Bites and Paella Bites.

And for Christmas sandwich lovers, the retailer has introduced a few alternatives to the classic turkey and stuffing combination – in particular, a take on the classic Boxing Day leftovers.

Within the range is a Boxing Day Curry wrap containing Tandoori pulled chicken in a butter curry sauce, garnished with bhaji onions, spinach and a raita-style mint and coriander yoghurt dressing.

If turkey and chicken aren’t at the top of one’s festive menu, the Ho Ho Ho Honey Ham Hock & Cornish Cove Sandwich may appeal instead.

Made with malted bread, the honey and mustard British pulled ham hock is paired with Cornish Cove Cheddar cheese, mayo and spinach – a festive take on the classic ham and cheese combination.

To wash down the festive butties, or perhaps as a dessert, customers can try the new Chocolate Orange Milkshake, made with Belgian chocolate and British milk.

For vegetarians or those watching their meat consumption, the Fa La La La Fel Wrap is on offer. The star of the show is a spinach and pine nut falafel, paired with pickled cabbage and a garlic dressing.

The savoury flavours are balanced with sweetness from spiced apricot harissa and cranberry chutney.

In line with M&S’s luxury brioche rolls collection, the festive take on the soft sandwiches is a ‘surf and turf’ version.

The duo includes one soft, pillowy roll filled with king prawns, lobster and a Marie Rose sauce; plus another filled with British roast beef with mustard mayonnaise and pickled onions.

The retailer's Fish & Chip bites are a crunchy, savoury treat with the chips themselves included in the batter

For customers with a sweet tooth, they can enjoy Gingerbread Blondie Cookie Cup Pies which are made up of chocolate chip and ginger cookie pastry filled with a fudgy white chocolate blondie – topped with an adorable little ‘gingerbread man’ made of pastry.

The earlier-than-ever release of the Christmas sandwiches and party bites comes amid increased customer demand, according to the retailer.

M&S has revealed searches for ‘Christmas’ on its website have already surpassed 144,000 as excitement for the festive season cranks up.

Within the new releases of party snacks, the Fish & Chip bites are sure to be a crowd pleaser as the chips are dipped in the crispy batter.

For sweet treats, the retailer predicts its Fully Loaded Peppermint and Double Chocolate Ice Cream is set to be a hit – plus the adorable gingerbread cookie cups.
