Woman, 21, is found dead in coastal town: Man arrested over ‘murder’

A 21-year-old who was found dead in a sleepy coastal Welsh town has been pictured for the first time as a man, 29, is arrested on suspicion of murder.

Several touching tributes have been shared for the ‘beautiful’ and ‘funny’ young woman, who has been named locally as Corinna Baker.

The local force has confirmed there is an ‘increased police presence’ in the area after her body was discovered in Netpool Boat Yard, Cardigan at 12.35pm yesterday.

A 29-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder, while the woman’s of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

Corinna’s heartbroken family and friends have issued a series of heartfelt tributes to the 21-year-old, where she was described as a ‘sweetheart’ and their ‘dearest angel’.

‘Heaven has the most beautiful, funny and stubborn angel entering the gates. Please respect mine and my families privacy during this time,’ her sister Caitlyn wrote.

Meanwhile, her sister Shante penned a touching tribute to her ‘gorgeous’ sibling.

‘Fly high gorgeous. I wish I told you more how much you meant to me and that I loved you. I will always love you and think of you.’

A family member, Nia, said: ‘Our family is completely devastated and heartbroken.

‘Fly high our beautiful girl, we will treasure our precious memories with you. Be at peace our dearest angel. Forever 21.’

A friend, Bronwyn, wrote: ‘Created the best memories with you can’t believe you are gone.’

Another friend, Kai, said: ‘You will always have a place in my heart as a sister and a best friend. I am gonna miss the hell out of you, already do xx fly high.’

Local pub, The Saddlers Arms, has shut its doors until Monday due to a’ death in the family’.

A Dyfed Powys Police spokesperson said: ‘Police continue to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and are particularly interested in speaking with anybody who may have been at the location, from around 9pm on Thursday 13, November.’

Anyone with information has been urged to contact the force by calling 101 or via their website quoting reference number 144 of 15th.
