Four teenage boys have been arrested after a woman was left fighting for her life following a stabbing in Huddersfield that saw the suspects flee on an e-bike.
A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after the woman, aged 30, was left with serious neck and head injuries following the assault at Topaz Close in the city on last Monday.
Three other boys, aged 18, 17 and 16, have also been arrested on suspicion of assisting the offender.
West Yorkshire Police have confirmed the victim remains in hospital ‘in critical condition’.
The force has since appealed for anyone with information about the attack, which occurred at 10.30pm, to come forward.
They are asking for witnesses to the offence or anyone who saw the two suspects in Surron or the Birky and Edgerton area on e-bikes before or after the stabbing.
A spokesperson for the force confirmed ‘multiple’ arrests have been made but enquiries are ongoing.
They said: ‘Police investigating a serious attack on a woman in Huddersfield have made multiple arrests as enquiries continue.

‘Kirklees CID is continuing to appeal for witnesses after a woman was stabbed and left with serious head and neck injuries in an assault on Topaz Close, Huddersfield, on Monday 11 May.
‘Officers yesterday (16/ 5) arrested a 17-year-old Huddersfield boy on suspicion of attempted murder and three teenage Huddersfield boys aged, 18, 17 and 16 on suspicion of assisting an offender.
‘The 30-year-old victim of the attack remains in hospital in a critical condition.
‘Police continue to appeal for anyone who saw the attack, which took place at about 10.30pm, or two suspects within the Birkby/Edgerton on an ebike or a Surron before or after the stabbing to come forward with information.’
