The pre-eminence of the Daily Mail’s podcasts has been recognised with a series of top honours at the True Crime Awards, including Podcast of the Year.
Pipeline, the series about a group of divers sucked into an oil pipe deep beneath the Caribbean and left to die, beat entries from The Times, Telegraph and BBC to take the top award.
It also claimed the Podcast: Impact for Change award and was highly commended for Best Serialised Podcast.
Judges said Pipeline was an ‘extremely well researched and impeccably delivered podcast’ and a ‘tense, powerful and gripping example of the true crime genre at its very best’.

Other Mail podcasts on the shortlist included Charlene: Somebody Knows Something about the disappearance of a 14-year-old girl in 2003, our award-winning series The Trial, and The Crime Desk, which secured a nod for Podcast Network of the Year.
