She is known for showing off her chiseled abs and jaw-dropping figure in sizzling bikini Instagram snaps.
And Maura Higgins caused quite the stir on Monday night as she flaunted her ripped six-pack in a barely-there bra top at the Fashion Awards.
Maura, who was once ‘obsessed’ with exercise, now prefers a more relaxed routine, attending a Pilates or yoga class mixed with weight training twice a week, which helps her to stay toned.
However, she has previously noted that she only decides her workouts ‘depending on how she is feeling’ on the day.
Asked by a fan in a Q&A about her fitness regime on Instagram, she replied: ‘For me workouts vary depending on how I’m feeling that day. I mix between weight training, yoga & Pilates.
‘It’s definitely about balance and consistency & remember it’s not a race, don’t compare your journey to anyone else’s. I’m not doing it as much, once, twice a week max.’
More recently, Maura said she ‘wants to be in the best shape of her life’ as she has a number of exciting projects next year.
She said: ‘I’ve honestly been working my (tiny) ass off in the gym the last few months! It’s not been easy but this is the best I’ve felt in such a long time!!’
It’s not all down to exercise as Maura has ditched the junk food during the week.
She has said: ‘At the weekends I eat what I want and during the week I obviously try my best to eat healthier foods.’
The star enjoys healthy meals such as eggs, tuna and avocado during the week, and treats herself to pasta, red wine, Dominoes and McDonalds at the weekends.
Maura has credited her sister Louise, who is a personal trainer, for helping her achieve her chiseled abs by teaching her about healthy eating and how to stay fit.
She said: ‘I’m not a nutritionist or anything like that but I do have a good enough diet and stay as clean as possible, but then I still have whatever I want.
‘Lots of you are talking about abs which is a funny one really because we all actually have abs, it’s just the body fat obviously is covering our abs.’
She added that certain ‘foods store belly fat’ and credited her sister for teaching her about diet and fitness.
Maura previously admitted that she does get Botox, despite denying having the treatment in the past.
One fan asked in a Q&A: ‘Will you ever talk about skin treatments you have? You are glowing! Xx.’
She responded: ‘When I first got perioral dermatitis I stop getting facials altogether, now it’s just skincare and of course with the help of Botox from the best @drroshoffical.’
In the snap shared alongside the response she looked as radiant as ever as she showed off her smooth complexion.
The former ring girl spoke about if she’d had cosmetic work done soon after her appearance on the ITV2 reality dating show in 2021.
She said: ‘I got my lips done three months after coming out of Love Island, and lip fillers last five to six months. I haven’t had anything done since then; I just let it dissolve.
‘But people still assume I’ve had my lips done, Botox. People are even saying I’ve had my nose done when I’ve not actually had any work.’
She explained at the time: ‘I had braces on for a long time, and since my teeth have moved, they’ve actually pushed my lips out slightly.
‘I feel like I don’t need it. If I were to get my lips done now with my straight teeth, it just wouldn’t be a good look.’
Maura will add another string to her TV bow in January after signing up for the second series of The Celebrity Traitors USA.
Despite being filmed with a predominantly American cast, the show is filmed at Ardross castle in the Scottish Highlands – the same venue used by BBC producers for the British version.
However, Claudia Winkleman plays no part in the US variant, with hosting duties handled by Scottish actor Alan Cumming.
Maura will be joined on the upcoming season by many other well-known faces including Jason and Travis Kelce’s mother, Donna, 74.
Discussing her anticipated appearance on the show, which will also be streamed on BBC iPlayer, the TV personality described the events of the upcoming season as ‘chaos’.
She told The Playlist: ‘In this new season, there is chaos again, once more. There is chaos and it’s brutal. It’s brutal.
‘About halfway through, there is a scene in it that is the greatest moment in Traitors’ history. Honestly, I just cannot wait for the world to see it. It’s utter carnage and utter just mad. It’s just brilliant!’
