Wayne Rooney and lookalike son Kai headed to the barbers in Cheshire just hours ahead of wife Coleen’s lavish 40th birthday bash on Friday.
The footballer, 40, was spotted having a trim while a marquee was set up for the beautiful and boozy’ celebrations at the family’s nearby £20M mansion.
Wayne cut a casual figure as the barber got to work while Kai, 16, was seen arriving with takeaway food for the pair.
The teen was dressed in a grey tracksuit which he teamed with chunky trainers and a £400 Louis Vuitton beanie.
The incredibly lavish celebrations are reportedly set to include hundreds of bottles of champagne on ice, a world famous singer to entertain the VIP crowd as well as a strict phone ban.
While Coleen organised a surprise party for Wayne’s 40th in October last year, he has not returned the favour and steered clear from planning the party over fears of disappointing the WAG.
She said at the time: ‘He always uses the excuse of “it wouldn’t be good enough for you”. He’s not really a planner, so he’ll say “there’s no point in me doing it because you’d want to do it yourself”.’
A source told The Mirror: ‘[Coleen] wants to have a good time without anyone filming anything like Wayne falling on the dance floor or being drunk, It’s going be very high protection when it comes to this. It’s a private party. There’s no one that can party like Coleen’.
While its unclear who will be performing it been claimed ‘no expense has been spared’ on the ‘Mariah Carey level singer’.
The source went on to say: ‘The guest list is obviously going to be A list and very football related. There’s going to be all of Wayne’s old teammates, the ex-Manchester United squad and everyone that’s played with Wayne, including David Beckham’.
‘[Wayne] wants Rio Ferdinand there, if he can get over from Dubai. There are a few players that might not be able to make it, but it is going to be full of people that have been there for them’.
Daily Mail have contacted Coleen and David Beckham’s reps for comment.
Meanwhile fellow WAG and pal Tanya Bardsley, 44, showed off her new hair extensions ahead of the swanky bash.
She also posted a tribute to Coleen on her Instagram Stories which read: ‘Happy birthday to this gorgeous icon, can’t wait to celebrate with you later’.
The WAG reportedly has hundreds of bottles of champagne on ice for the bank holiday weekend marking her milestone day.
The I’m A Celebrity star is set to throw a huge bash for her closest friends and family as she has an enormous white marquee put up in the 50-acre grounds of her home.
Wayne’s footballer pals, including Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Darren Fletcher, are all on the guest list for the huge bash, along with Coleen’s WAG pals such as Annie Kilner and Abbey Clancy.
Caterers and staff will keep the party running smoothly, with insiders saying no expense has been spared for Coleen.
An insider told The Sun: ‘Coleen loves a good knees-up. She can afford a lovely lifestyle and everything at the party will be classy and beautifully done. But for her, plenty of booze, good music and her family is all she will want.
‘There’s going to be live music and you can guarantee Wayne will be getting up on the microphone.
‘He loves to sing and will be keen to give everyone a tune or two.’

Ahead of the bash, Coleen said: ‘I’m looking forward to it, I love a birthday and a celebration.
‘I have decided to enjoy a couple of different celebrations with family and friends over the year, and with my birthday falling over Easter weekend, some friends are away — so any opportunity to extend the celebrations…’
Earlier in the day Wayne shared a series of throwback snaps in tribute to wife on her big day.
He hailed the WAG the ‘best wife and mum’ as he uploaded a series of photos of her in bikini’s to his Instagram.
Wayne shared a carousel of family photos from over the years with Coleen and their four sons.
The update included pictures from the beginning of their relationship to more recent snaps of them at Wimbledon and an Oasis gig.
Alongside the photos, he wrote: ‘Happy 40th Birthday to the best wife and mum we could wish for. We can’t wait to celebrate with you and love you all the world.’
