Vogue Williams shares the REAL reason she was booted from I’m A Celeb

It has long been a point of contention for I’m A Celebrity fans in the Republic of Ireland that they can’t take part in the voting element of the show.

And now as Vogue Williams has become the third contestant to be booted off the ITV reality show this year, the Irish presenter said: ‘I don’t think it was helpful that Ireland couldn’t vote.’

Vogue, 40, told the Daily Mail: ‘I was going to just have a great experience and get as far as I could and be a part of such an epic show, like, it’s a brilliant show.

‘But had Ireland been allowed to vote, it probably would have been maybe slightly better for me.

‘There were loads of family and friends that couldn’t vote for me and, yeah, a lot of people that couldn’t vote because they’re over there.’

When asked if they would have found that ‘frustrating’, Vogue added: ‘yeah, because I know they would have wanted to.’

Vogue Williams became the third contestant to be evicted from I'm A Celebrity and said 'had Ireland been able to vote it would have been better for me'

Vogue, 40, revealed she had many friends and family who were unable to vote for her on the show because they live in the Republic of Ireland

The Irish model said 'it didn't help' that the Republic of Ireland is unable to vote in the ITV show

Last year, there was a lot of backlash about the voting system because there were two campmates from the Republic of Ireland, Love Island star Maura Higgins and the boxer, Barry McGuiggan.

As one person wrote online: ‘This is outrageous we can’t vote. They take six of our counties and two of our contestants.’

It was strongly believed that both celebrities would have made it further in the competition had the Republic been involved in the voting, as Maura, 35, and Barry, 64, placed seventh, being booted off in a double elimination.

Elsewhere, Vogue opened up about her struggles with anxiety in the Jungle.

The model, who shares three children Theodore, seven, Gigi, five, and Otto, two, with the Made in Chelsea star, Spencer Matthews, admitted: ‘My anxiety cropped up quite a lot in the Jungle.

‘I think anxiety is something I manage all the time, and it’s obviously harder to manage when you’re out of your comfort zone.

‘I like working out, and that’s why I tried to keep that up in the jungle, because it’s really, really good for my head. I go for runs, for it, and I try to manage my sleep a lot.

Vogue revealed she struggled with anxiety in the Jungle which would 'crop up' at times but she deals with it by exercise

The mother-of-three said she had to eat a pig's brain after a particularly anxious day but knew she had to complete the task to get luxury and 'get myself back on track' in the camp

‘I’m very odd about sleep.’

Reflecting on her Bushtucker Trial, where she ate an entire pig’s brain, she said: ‘I think I’d had a really bad day with anxiety the day before.

‘So I was like, right, I need to be in some level of comfort tonight, try and get me back on track. And so I was like, that, it’s that pig’s brain or it’s another anxious day.’

Vogue, who left the Jungle on Monday, said that she struggled missing her children in the Jungle and Spencer, who is currently in Antarctica on the final leg of his mission to run seven Iron Mans in seven continents.

I’m A Celebrity viewers shared concern last week after spotting a bandage wrapped around Vogue’s knee – which she still sports now.

During Monday’s instalment of the programme some took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to point out that there was a plaster on the Irish presenter’s leg.

‘What the hell did Vogue do to her leg and knee?’

‘What has Vogue done to her knee? Looks painful.’

‘Is Vogue aware that her knee is fully bleeding and sore?’

‘What happened to Vogue’s knee???’

‘WHAT HAPPENED WITH VOGUE’S KNEE.’

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! continues Tuesday at 9pm on ITV1 and is available to stream on ITVX.
