Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah star as Liverpool launch new kits

Liverpool have launched their new home and away kits for the 2025-26 campaign with a host of current stars and legends participating in the promotion.

It was announced earlier this year that the Reds had signed a deal to reunite with kit supplier adidas from this summer, believed to be worth at least £60million a year.

The agreement sees the Premier League champions return to wearing the German brand for the first time since 2012, after a stint with Nike.

Liverpool’s deal with Nike ran until the end of July, meaning they have been wearing last season’s kit so far in pre-season.

However, they will now be lining up in new attire with adidas releasing the first new strips of their latest partnership.

First team stars including Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah, Ceri Holland and Curtis Jones were joined in an Alice in Wonderland inspired launch video, alongside club legends such as Sir Kenny Dalglish, Ian Rush, John Barnes, Robbie Fowler and Jamie Carragher.

The home shirt features a clean all-red colourway, with crisp white adidas three stripes down the sleeves and a modern crew neck collar.

Meanwhile, the away top is a call back to classic Liverpool away shirts, featuring an off-white base with bold black and red detailing. The Liver Bird is framed within a shield, a design inspired by the shape of Anfield’s Main Stand from 1906.

The 97-emblem encased by the eternal flames sits at the nape of the neck at the back of both jerseys.

The club will debut the new home kit for the pre-season double-header at Anfield against Athletic Club on Monday and the new away kit in the FA Community Shield with Crystal Palace on August 10.

Fans can now purchase the kits online and in store with both available in a short-sleeve and long-sleeve version.

The club also revealed that all profits from sales of shirts with the late Diogo Jota’s name and number would go to charity.

Their statement said: ‘if supporters would like to honour Diogo Jota by having ‘Diogo J 20’ printed on the back of their shirts in official club stores or via our official online store, as well as adidas in-store or online (where regionally offered), all profits will go to LFC Foundation, the club’s official charity.

‘The Foundation has committed to creating a grassroots football programme in Diogo’s name.’

Ryan Gravenberch and new signing Florian Wirtz also took part in the promotional campaign

Ben Latty, chief commercial officer at LFC, said: “This is more than just the launch of a new kit – it marks the beginning of a 10-year relationship for LFC and adidas.

‘Since announcing the partnership in March, there’s been a huge sense of anticipation and excitement. This first collection sets the tone for seasons to come.”
