US President Donald Trump has warned a deal for Greenland ‘will be done’ as Prime Minister Keir Starmer began his speech addressing tariff threats.
He said any decision about the future of Greenland ‘belongs to the people of Greenland and the Kingdom of Denmark alone’.
Starmer also seemed to ruled out the possibility of retaliatory tariffs, after Trump announced his plan to impose tariffs on the UK and other countries that oppose his plan to take over Greenland.
‘A tariff war is in nobody’s interests,’ said Starmer. ‘We have not got to that stage, my focus is making sure we don’t get to that stage.’
