Iran vowed to show ‘zero restraint’ if its energy infrastructure comes under attack again as it hit a US fighter jet and destroyed an Israeli oil refinery following overnight attacks on its South Pars gas field.
Iranian foreign minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi boasted the regime’s retaliation to the attack on the gas field only showed a ‘fraction’ of its power.
Donald Trump threatened to ‘massively blow up’ the South Pars field but claimed he was not made aware of the Israeli attacks which sparked a wave of furious retaliatory strikes by Iran on Gulf sites.
Iran attacked an American F-35 fighter jet and an oil refinery in Haifa as Tehran presses ahead with its ‘full-scale economic war’ against the US and Israel.
The $100 million warplane was flying over Iran during a combat mission when it was hit and damaged forcing the pilot to make an emergency landing at a US air base in the Middle East.
Captain Tim Hawkins, a spokesman for US Central Command, said the aircraft landed safely with no injuries to the pilot, adding the incident is under investigation.
