Mathys Tel’s representatives are to seek clarity from Tottenham over his future this week.

Manager Thomas Frank admitted the French forward is upset at being left out of their Champions League squad for fit-again Dominic Solanke who scored against Dortmund on Tuesday night.

Rennes want Jacquet loan option

Rennes have asked if Jeremy Jacquet could be loaned back as part of ongoing negotiations to sell him to Chelsea.

The French side have been reluctant to lose the 20-year-old in this window and are looking for £55million knowing Liverpool and Bayern Munich are in the background, but for the summer.

Chelsea recalled David Datro Fofana from his loan in Turkey earlier this week which would free up another international loan slot but they also have the futures of Raheem Sterling and Axel Disasi to resolve who have interest from abroad.

Cherries find £30m Semenyo replacement

Bournemouth have agreed a £30.6m deal in principle with Vasco da Gama to sign forward Rayan.

Talks have been ongoing over the past week after the 19-year-old showed a willingness to join the south coast club ahead of waiting for other bidders in the summer. He will fill the void left by Antoine Semenyo and is expected to travel to the UK later this week.

Bournemouth had to navigate Vasco’s shared ownership structure to get the deal concluded.

Rayan, who has agreed a five and a half year deal, is a Brazilian international at U17 and U20 level and has been on the radar of Brazil boss Carlo Ancelotti.

Sean Dyche wants a left back and left winger to strengthen his Forest side in their bid to stave off relegation and Tsimikas, with his Premier League experience, is on their radar still.

Villa are among the clubs to have been offered AC Milan midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek who is ready to move back to England. A return for Douglas Luiz has also been floated to Villa after Boubacar Kamara was ruled out for most of the season. Luiz is on loan at Nottingham Forest from Juventus.

Alao in demand

Chelsea have stepped into the race for highly-rated Sheffield Wednesday left back Yisa Alao.

Manchester United and Liverpool had both made offers for the 17-year-old who has already broken into the first team and has been offered his first professional contract.

United had offered around £400,000 with substantial add-ons and were considered favourites but Chelsea are willing to offer more to crisis club Wednesday who are struggling to stay in the Championship following their points deduction.

He started his first senior game at home to Brentford in the FA Cup earlier this month, followed by a first Championship start against Portsmouth last weekend.

Alao was outstanding in Wednesday’s defeat to Portsmouth but was taken off after an hour as manager Henrik Pedersen tries to manage his progress and minutes on the pitch.

Chelsea are understood to be willing to offer around £600,000 plus substantial bonuses on performances for Alao but also under serious consideration will be the youngster’s career pathway.

Wednesday entered administration in October 2025 due to severe financial issues under owner Dejphon Chansiri, leading to unpaid wages, EFL charges, and an18-point deduction. Begbies Traynor were appointed administrators, and a consortium led by James Bord has been selected as the preferred bidder for a takeover, with the process awaiting final approval.
