Timothee Chalamet resurfaces after dumping Kylie Jenner

Timothée Chalamet looked unfazed and all smiles as he stepped out with a group of friends in Hollywood on Friday, days after calling it quits with Kylie Jenner.

The actor, 29, and the makeup mogul, 28 — who shares two children with rapper Travis Scott — first sparked headlines when their unlikely romance began in April 2023 after meeting at Paris Fashion Week. And for months, rumors of an on-again, off-again relationship have swirled around the pair.

On Tuesday, the Daily Mail reported it was officially ‘trouble in paradise’ for the Dune star and the Kylie Cosmetics billionaire.

Chalamet ‘broke up with Kylie,’ one source claimed, adding, ‘this has happened before – but she talked him into getting back together. She is crazy about him so that could well happen again.’

But if a reunion is brewing, Chalamet certainly didn’t show it.

The star flashed a carefree grin while leaving a Hollywood hot spot with his buddies, looking like he didn’t have a worry in the world.

A second source told the Daily Mail, ‘There is trouble in paradise, but they aren’t completely over.’

They added, ‘He is filming quite a bit, and she feels that she has to chase him. She is putting in the work more than him.’

The timing coincides with Chalamet’s new Vogue cover interview, which many fans interpreted as him taking a subtle swipe at Jenner.

The magazine noted that the actor ‘will not talk about his relationship,’ and quoted him saying, ‘I don’t say that with any fear, I just don’t have anything to say.’

Despite not wanting to talk about his romance, the Vogue interviewer added that Chalamet ‘didn’t mind at all acknowledging the new stage of his life that he is entering into.’

He also mentioned that his sister recently welcomed a baby and his Dune co-star Zendaya is newly engaged to Tom Holland, hinting that fatherhood is something he’s now thinking about: ‘That could be on the radar.’

Jenner, meanwhile, kept things equally tight-lipped in her own 2024 British Vogue profile, telling the outlet, ‘Privacy is so important to me in life.’

But according to Radar, the makeup mogul isn’t thrilled about Chalamet’s reluctance to publicly acknowledge their romance.

Insiders told the outlet that the Vogue interview opened up an already sore spot — Jenner reportedly feels she’s doing more emotional lifting than he is.

A friend told Radar that Jenner believed they were ready to go more public and was blindsided when he brushed off the subject so lightly.

‘Kylie was really upset by how casually Timothée dismissed the question. She honestly believed they were past the point of hiding things and that he’d want to celebrate their relationship, not act like it doesn’t exist,’ the friend said.

Though she’s been ‘shocked and heartbroken,’ sources say she’s trying to keep things upbeat for fans: ‘She’s raging, shocked and heartbroken at the same time, but, as usual, is trying to put a brave face on things by keeping posting “happy” social media snaps.’

Their packed calendars haven’t helped either.

One insider familiar with the situation said, ‘It’s really strained things,’ adding that Jenner has been the one ‘reaching out, calling, visiting – but she’s beginning to feel like she’s putting in all the effort’.

That imbalance is starting to take its toll.

‘She’s traveled everywhere to support Timothée, but he rarely returns the favor. It’s starting to really bother her,’ the source said.

Industry insiders, however, say Chalamet simply isn’t the type to put his relationships front and center.

‘He’s never been the kind of person to make his relationships part of the spotlight,’ one told Radar.

In more than two and a half years together, he’s never popped up on The Kardashians, attended the Met Gala on her arm, or posted anything public about her— not even a birthday shoutout.

The dynamic has fans buzzing and even relationship experts are weighing in.

Trauma counselor Audrey Hope cautioned, ‘Relationships get ugly when one party loves you more, wants more than the other.’

She added, ‘The fact that Kylie Jenner is at all Timothée’s events and he does not reciprocate in the same way is a big deal. It shows that something is afoot in paradise.’
