Thierry Henry is taking home a footballer-style near-six-figure weekly wage, raking in the cash 12 years after he quit playing.
The earnings of Arsenal and France legend Henry, 48, are revealed in new figures from his company Cluemere Ltd. They show he paid himself a dividend of £2,774,312 and gave himself an advance of £2,160,386.
That adds up to almost £95,000 per week.
Although Arsenal’s record goalscorer no longer has a regular salary from his playing days, he remains one of football’s most marketable faces.
Henry works regularly on TV punditry gigs for CBS, Amazon Prime and Sky Sports and has a raft of sponsorship deals with Don Julio, Ninja, Kia, Reebok and Lays.
He has long been a famous face in the world of sport and notably featured in Renault’s ‘Va-Va-Voom’ campaign during his football career – and his marketability is showing few signs of fading, despite outrageous predictions of some sponsorship experts over a decade ago.
They had claimed Henry’s ‘Hand of God’ to deny the Republic of Ireland a place at the 2012 World Cup risked damaging his position as the darling of big-ticket sponsors. But 14 years on his earning power remains strong.
Additionally, The Sun report that Henry’s property portfolio includes a £10million Hampstead mansion and a New York penthouse with a value of £12m.
He has also been listed as a co-owner of Serie A club Como.
Cluemere’s accounts show assets of £931,781, including £833,290 cash in the bank.
Henry holds a desire to coach in football and managed France to a silver medal at the last Olympics. But it appears his work away from the training pitch is more lucrative.
Last month Henry shared his workout regime with followers on Instagram with clips of him exercising alongside partner Andrea Rajacic.
At what appeared to be the couple’s home gym, there were three clips simultaneously overlaid showing them perform a circuit.
Henry also posted two still images of his ripped physique and evidently remains dedicated to remaining in top shape.
In the caption, he revealed the secrets of his success, writing: ‘1 HOUR session with MY PARTNER IN CRIME ❤️ and a 10kg vest on. WORK HARD, EAT WELL, NO SUGAR!!!’
Henry and Rajacic have been together for 15 years and his other half tends to stay away from the limelight.
The Bosnian used to be a model and her social media is now private, although Henry does occasionally share updates of their life together.
Henry and Rajacic have three children together: Tristan, Tatiana, and Gabby. He also shares a daughter with ex-wife Nicole Merry, his first child who was born in 2005.
