Vinicius Jr and influence girlfriend pose for loved up Halloween snaps

Vinicius Junior and his presenter girlfriend Virginia Fonseca proved they’re ready for spooky season by sharing snaps of their best outfits ahead of Halloween.

The pair, whose relationship has been the subject of much speculation in Brazil in recent weeks, showed off their costumes with a loved up Instagram post on Wednesday evening.

Surprisingly however, they decided against donning matching costumes. Virginia, an influencer who boasts some 53million followers, dressed as the iconic Cruella de Vil of 101 Dalmatians while Vinicius looked unrecognisable in a purple clown outfit.

Posing for one photo, the lovebirds looked as smitten as ever as they shared an embrace just weeks after rumours of a split surfaced.

Vinicius and Virginia are thought to have begun dating during the summer, according to reports out of Brazil, a couple of months after she announced her separation from singer Ze Felipe in May.

But in early October messages between Vinicius and another model surfaced on social media, seemingly prompting a break up.

In a desperate bid to win Virginia back, the Real Madrid star later issued her a groveling public apology, saying he wanted to start again with ‘no lies, lots of love, affection and respect’.

The 25-year-old added: ‘We all go through moments that make us reflect and grow.

‘Recently, I experienced a situation that made me reflect and recognise attitudes that did not represent who I want to be or the type of relationships I want to build.

‘Virginia is an incredible woman, an admirable mother, and someone for whom I feel enormous affection and respect.

‘Since we met, she has come to Madrid three times to see me, leaving behind her routine, her commitments, and her life just to be with me. I met an admirable mother and an incredible partner.

‘Although we were not yet officially a couple, there was a sincere connection.

‘I am not ashamed to admit that I was careless, that I did not respond in the best possible way and that I disappointed her.’

And it seems Vinicius has indeed won his partner back. Earlier this week, Virginia shared loved up photos of her and the superstar footballer cuddled up together in front of a sign reading ‘love’.

It was only a matter of days ago that the couple confirmed they're still together just weeks after Vinicius was accused of messaging another woman

The Brazilian later issued Virginia with a groveling apology posted on Instagram

She captioned the post: ‘V (love heart emoji) V’.

Vinicius was nevertheless forced to issue another public apology this week, this time to Los Blancos boss Xabi Alonso.

It came after the Brazilian reacted furiously to being substituted against Barcelona at the Bernabeu on the weekend. Spanish reports claimed Vinicius’ outburst as he trudged towards the home dugout saw his already tense relationship with Alonso escalate to an ‘unsustainable conflict’.

The Brazilian ultimately threw water on the fire yesterday as he apologised to his Spanish boss with a statement.

‘Today I want to apologize to all the Madridistas for my reaction when I was substituted in the Clasico,’ he said.

‘Just as I have already done in person during today’s training, I also want to apologize again to my teammates, the club, and the president.

‘Sometimes passion gets the better of me because I always want to win and help my team. My competitive character stems from the love I feel for this club and everything it represents.

‘I promise to keep fighting every second for the good of Real Madrid, as I have done since the first day.’

Madrid are back in domestic action on Saturday against Valencia at the Bernabeu.

They then face a trip to Liverpool in a fixture which will see Trent Alexander-Arnold make his highly-anticipated return to Anfield.
