Scarlett Moffatt lands TV deal after missing out on I’m A Celeb final

Scarlett Moffatt has been dubbed the real winner of I’m A Celebrity South Africa as she landed a huge TV deal after missing out on the final.

The pregnant star, 35, was eliminated on Thursday night’s show, after coming last in a trial, leaving Mo Farah, 43, Harry Redknapp, 79, Adam Thomas, 37, and Craig Charles, 61, in the running to be crowned Legend by the public.

And after winning the hearts of the public, Scarlett has already been cherry-picked by ITV for their next big project.

With filming said to be starting soon, Scarlett is already balancing multiple plates after announcing she was expecting her second child earlier this week.

She told The Sun: ‘I have got something coming up with ITV and I’ve just done a photoshoot in Barcelona.

‘It’s been a whirlwind recently; it feels like the first time I came out of the jungle ten years ago — the same thing is happening again.’

The Gogglebox star, 35, was eliminated on Thursday night's show, after coming last in the trial, leaving Mo Farah, 43, Harry Redknapp, 79, Adam Thomas, 37, and Craig Charles, 61, in the running to be crowned Legend by the public

Scarlett was 25 years old when she became Queen of the Jungle during the 2016 series — just two years after first finding fame on Gogglebox.

She was such a hit that Ant and Dec asked her to co-host Saturday Night Takeaway, she was also asked by Channel 4 to reboot Davina McCall’s Streetmate and was also installed as host of I’m a Celeb spin-off Extra Camp by ITV.

After she welcomed her first son Jude in June 2023 Scarlett came out of the spotlight, but the latest I’m a Celebrity all-stars series has flung her right back to the big time.

A source added to the publication: ‘Her diary is packed with offers but she’s thrilled to have a big new project with ITV booked.’

Scarlett revealed this week that she and fiancé Scott Dobson are expecting their second child.

Appearing in the live I’m A Celeb studio on Friday night, Scarlett joined the rest of the 2026 campmates during the chaotic finale.

Speaking to Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly she said: ‘It would be nice to have some oestrogen in the room,’ while discussing the finalists.

Scarlett admitted she was devastated to leave I’m A Celebrity, leaving an all-male final after coming last in the trial, Keep Your Eye on the Ball.

After bowing out at the last minute, she said: ‘I’m gutted that it’s four blokes left. I wanted to do it for the girls! I’ll let them enjoy their football chat around the table.’

Viewers took to X to complain about the show’s format, believing other celebrities deserved to be part of the final four instead.

They wrote: ‘Raging for Scarlett as she comes across as a genuine person and was fun in camp’;

‘Hate this format of the show. These trials have been so harsh. A few that should have been in the final aren’t. It’s been a rollercoaster.’

‘ITV you need to change the format of this all stars South Africa one. It needs to be so the public can vote throughout the show as normal. You making decisions based on trials is not it’.

‘I wanted Scarlett to win!’

The trial saw the celebrities have to sit in individual compartments as three different-coloured balls traveled through clear pipes. They had to track the count for each colour while facing various unwelcome distractions.

Scarlett broke down in tears as Ant and Declan revealed she was furthest from the correct total which meant she had to leave immediately.

Speaking of her second stint in the jungle, she said: ‘Last time I felt like a bit of an imposter. I was only twenty-five, I didn’t really know where my place was or who I was as a person. I enjoyed it, but a lot of the time I felt overwhelmed.

‘Whereas this time around, I know who I am so I just enjoyed it and went in there less intimidated.

‘The campfire chats are what I’m going to miss the most. You have so much time in there, with no distractions, all you do is chat and reflect.

‘Sir Mo Farah is such an amazing soul. I couldn’t get over how forgiving he was, how kind he was. I think he’s made me a better person.’

Of why is was better this time around, Scarlett said: ‘Everyone was eccentrically wonderful and so different. Because we’d all done it before, there was some sense of calm. We weren’t constantly on edge, because we knew our way around camp life.’

Scarlett said she wanted Mo to be crowned Legend in the live final, set to air on Friday night.

‘Even if I’d got into the final, I’d have said to people, ‘If you were thinking of voting for me, you should vote for Mo.’

‘Nobody deserves it as much as him. I really do hope he wins.’

The final saw a tearful-looking Adam Thomas was crowned I’m A Celebrity South Africa’s Jungle Legend, after a chaotic and tense finale

This year’s All Stars series has been plagued with bullying rows and controversial spats between feuding cast mates – Adam, Jimmy and David Haye.
