Rosanna Arquette reveals price she paid for rejecting Harvey Weinstein

Rosanna Arquette has revealed the price she paid for rejecting Harvey Weinstein.

The Pulp Fiction actress, 66, had a minor but memorable role in the 1994 hit, playing the wife of drug dealer Lance, portrayed by Eric Stoltz.

The film was written and directed by Quentin Tarantino, while Weinstein, 73 – who is currently serving a 16-year prison sentence for rape – was a producer.

Made for just $8 million, Pulp Fiction became a massive critical and commercial success, eventually grossing more than $213.9 million worldwide.

But despite the film’s success, Arquette said it still leaves a sour taste in her mouth because she was denied a percentage of the box office profits.

‘I’m the only person who didn’t get a back end [a share of the takings]. Everybody made money except me,’ she told The Times.

She does not blame Quentin, as he wanted me in that movie, but instead points the finger at the film’s producer, Harvey.

In the early 1990s, the actress said she went to meet Harvey about a script.

When she arrived at the Beverly Hills Hotel, she was told to go up to his room, where he was waiting in a bathrobe and allegedly tried to force her to touch his penis.

She told the publication: ‘I was fortunate because I was not raped.

‘But, boy, was it going there and I paid a price for saying no, and later I paid a price for telling the truth.’

In 2017, Arquette was among the first women to speak out against Harvey, along with Mira Sorvino and Annabella Sciorra.

Once a Hollywood heavy-hitter, Harvey became a symbol of sexual misconduct after media reports revealed allegations against him in 2017.

In total, some 60 women came forward with harrowing allegations against the producer and he was convicted of various sex crimes in both New York and California.

He is currently serving a 16-year sentence for his California rape conviction while awaiting a third Manhattan trial later this year to resolve a remaining rape charge from his 2025 New York retrial.

He is currently battling a litany of health woes, including cancer, diabetes, spinal stenosis and a possible immune system problem.

As of this year, Rosanna is returning to the screen, starring in Charli XCX’s mockumentary The Moment.

It sees Charli XCX, 33, play a fictionalised version of herself, based on a story by the singer.

Joining the star – whose real name is Charlotte Aitchison – are Rosanna, Jamie Demetriou and Alexander Skarsgård, playing fictional characters.

From director Aidan Zamiri, the film combines real-life footage from Charli’s Brat tour with scripted backstage scenes.

The film was released in the UK and Ireland on February 20.
