Romeo Beckham leads eleb fans celebrate Arsenal’s Premier League title

Romeo Beckham had a playful spot of teasing for his dad David as he joined the euphoric stars celebrating Arsenal’s long-awaited Premier League title win.

After years of falling short with three second place finishes in a row, fans of the Gunners celebrated on the streets of north London on Tuesday night, after they were named champions for the first time in 22 years.

It was a closely-fought race, but Manchester City handed Arsenal the title by failing to beat Bournemouth, and many stars joined Romeo taking to Instagram to celebrate.

Despite his dad’s history as a beloved player for Manchester United, Romeo has grown up an Arsenal fan, and after they secured the title, David revealed he received a late-night Facetime from his son.

Posting a screenshot of the call, he wrote: ‘@romeobeckham, the moment Arsenal became champions and my son calls to remind me.’

Lily James and Gemma Chan also celebrated the victory by sharing snaps from their trip to the Emirates Stadium on Monday, where Arsenal beat Burnley 1-0.

Mikel Arteta’s men have been runners-up in each of the last three seasons but finally overcame Pep Guardiola’s team to be able to call themselves Kings of England.

The Arsenal squad had gathered at their London Colney training base to watch Man City’s clash with the Cherries in the hope they could be crowned champions.

While the Gunners had kept those plans quiet, footage surfaced following the final whistle of the squad launching into celebrations after their triumph was confirmed.

Arsenal fans, meanwhile, gathered outside the Emirates Stadium in their thousands to toast their long-awaited success.

Their legendary forward Ian Wright was among those at the centre of the celebrations outside the stadium.
