Rihanna has seemingly responded to reports of tension between her and longtime boyfriend A$AP Rocky at the Met Gala.
The 38-year-old pop star and 37-year-old rapper were caught in what appeared to be a tense moment while seated in a sprinter van after attending the prestigious gala on Monday.
But on Thursday the songstress posted a behind-the-scenes video from the big night on social media, subtly letting everyone know things are fine with her and her partner of six years.
The ‘met recap,’ as she captioned, showed her and the Harlem-bred musician smiling, laughing, and enjoying each other’s company throughout the night.
The star – born Robyn Rihanna Fenty – shared footage having her makeup applied, smoking a blunt, as well as A$AP raising a glass for a toast.

A source told TMZ the twosome was exhausted following a nonstop day of Met Gala celebrations, with the video captured on the sprinter reflecting that. It was emphasized that they aren’t having any issues.
Fans online speculated the tense-looking conversation may have been about a chat Rocky – real name Rakim Mayers – was having with Italian fashion designer Giovanna Battaglia Engelbert as Rihanna conducted a brief interview feet away.

A video circulating social media showed Rihanna speaking with a cameraman as her partner chatted with Engelbert in the background.
TMZ sources said nothing was going on between the designer and Rocky, and the videographer even stepped in to shut down the chatter and insist everyone already knew each other.
It was noted that Engelbert has known Rihanna for years and ‘has a lot of respect’ for her.
Insiders stressed to the outlet that there was no romantic energy between Rocky and Engelbert.
It was reported that the interaction began with Engelbert speaking with Rihanna and sharing a laugh with her before she spoke with Rocky and joked with him about his necklace.
Additionally, Backstage Live Event, the videographer who captured the clip, clarified the Umbrella singer and her beau are ‘very much in love’ and that Rihanna was ‘not unhappy.’

Rihanna and Rocky arrived customarily late to the 2026 Met Gala.
They showed up to walk the red carpet at 9:15pm after keeping fans waiting to see their highly-anticipated looks.
For her part, the Bajan beauty modeled a sculptural Maison Margiela gown she compared to an ‘oyster,’ per Variety.
‘I feel like it’s giving oyster, you know. They said “be yourself” and I’m coming out of an oyster, a clamshell, instead of a butterfly in a cocoon,’ she said in a clip shared by the outlet.
Meanwhile, the Don’t Be Dumb artist wore a custom Chanel by Matthieu Blazy wool pink robe in a nod to the couple’s daughter, born in September 2025.
‘I’m from Harlem, so I wear pink all the time but shout out to baby Rocki,’ the proud dad said about his bubblegum-hued coat while shouting out his daughter.
Rihanna revealed her third pregnancy at the 2025 Met Gala.
