Predictor: Play the game with £1,000 up for grabs

It’s that time of the week again: Daily Mail’s popular predictor game is back for gameweek 29.

Predictor is our simple, free-to-play competition where you can win big cash prizes, with £1,000 up for grabs weekly. Simply guess the winner of seven Premier League matches – or play it safe with a draw. There’s also a £5,000 prize if you come first across the whole season. We’re back earlier this week due to changes to the fixture schedule.

And yes, we have leagues! You’re able to create or join them, and they can be public or private. Now is your chance to definitively prove you know more than your mates or even more than our experts – play now at dailymail.co.uk/predictor.

In gameweek 28, we saw City crush Arsenal hearts at the Etihad, going within three points of the league leaders, while Virgil van Dijk netted a dramatic 100th-minute winner to win the Merseyside derby for Liverpool.

On Saturday, we watched Manchester United take a giant leap toward Champions League qualification by beating Chelsea 1-0 at Stamford Bridge, and Tottenham drop points in the battle for survival against Brighton via a late equaliser.

Elsewhere, Bournemouth stunned Newcastle at St. James’ Park, Leeds smashed Wolves 3-0, and Aston Villa somehow survived a late scare from Sunderland to edge a seven-goal thriller.

Jack Gaughan was our expert, and he predicted three of the seven games correctly.

Now on to this gameweek, which starts in midweek this time around, and ends at the weekend. We begin with Tuesday’s clashes, as Brighton host an out-of-form Chelsea, while Leeds look to secure Premier League status next season when they travel to Bournemouth.

The midweek action continues on Wednesday as Manchester City look to go level with Arsenal on points at the top of the Premier League, after beating them at the weekend. They go to Turf Moor to play Burnley.

On Saturday afternoon, we start at Molineux with a massive match for relegation-threatened Tottenham, as they travel to already doomed Wolves at 3pm. Meanwhile, survival scrapping rivals West Ham face Everton at the same time.

Champions League chasing Liverpool are also in action against Crystal Palace, while we finish off with Arsenal taking on Newcastle, as they look to bounce back from successive league defeats.

Daily Mail Sport’s expert this week is Chief Football Reporter CRAIG HOPE. Here is his verdict on the weekend games…

‘I suspect this will be a case of “as you were” at the top of the table, with Arsenal re-establishing their three-point lead by beating Newcastle on the back of a Man City victory over Burnley.

‘It’s at the bottom where it’s more interesting this gameweek. For all Spurs were better against Brighton, you cannot make a case for them winning a game, even at Wolves. That being the case, they might have to draw their way to safety!

‘West Ham, though, are finding a way to win and, despite Everton being in decent form, I think the London Stadium will give them the backing to inspire a victory that should put daylight between them and the bottom three.’

Do you agree? Or think you can beat and the rest of our experts? Play now.

We will be back on Monday to assess all the action, review the leaderboard and get ready for the next weekend of games.
