Shoppers at the upscale Erewhon Market in Calabasas on Monday failed to recognize the still youthful looking actress who wore a black hat pulled low over her famous face.
The 51-year-old showcased her fit and trim figure with sleek camouflage nylon bike shorts, a grey t-shirt emblazoned with an image by American pop artist Patrick Nagel, and a black baseball cap with a parody of the North Face logo.
She looked as though she had visited one of the nearby hiking trails in Malibu and had worked up quite a sweat.
As these exclusive DailyMail.com photos show, the make-up free actress was surprised but somewhat amused at being recognized in the parking lot.
‘This hat is my friend’s [N8 NO FACE brand],’ she said as she took it off and held it up laughing, ‘funny right?’
While other celebrities are busy virtue signaling by driving electric vehicles, Juliette packed her bags into a blue classic Dodge ‘muscle’ car, smiling as she roared off.
Lewis has a quiet confidence about her which has led her to take chances.
In 2003, she took almost a decade off from acting to pursue her other passions such as music.
The singer and songwriter toured with her rock band Juliette and the Licks, performing first in Johnny Depp’s Viper Room and later all over the country and abroad.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Juliette knew she wanted to become an actress at six years old.
After landing roles in TV sitcoms like The Wonder Years and the Showtime Series Home Fires, she won the role of Andrea Griswold in the movie National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.
A slapstick and campy classic, she later said: ‘I didn’t know that’s a movie that’s gonna play every year. It’s very special and Chevy Chase was very kind to me.’
In 1989, at the age of 17, she starred in a TV movie Too Young To Die opposite Brad Pitt who was ten years her senior.
Before Jennifer Aniston, before Angelina Jolie, it was Juliette who captured his heart. Their romance lasted on-and-off for four years, and according to Pitt, 60, it is remembered with great fondness.
‘It was one of the greatest relationships I’ve ever been in,’ he once told Vanity Fair.
