North West carried on her bold style in typical fashion as she shared a look at her new custom-made grillz on TikTok this week after sparking outrage with her ‘risky’ finger piercings.
Wearing a skull T-shirt and studded boots, the 12-year-old daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West brandished a gleaming set of decorative dental jewelry that covered her bottom and top teeth.
The fashion piece featured 20 14k white gold caps and was created for North by Gabby Elan Jewelry, per People.
The New York jeweler made three different sets for the tween and posted a clip on Instagram showing their handiwork. ‘Teal Blue, Candy Red and White Gold For @northwest,’ the company shared.
The budding rapper, who recently signed a major deal with Mariah Carey’s recording company, also posted videos of herself wearing the blue and red versions.
North’s love of grillz knows no bounds. In January, some fans were left amazed and others horrified when she donned an all-black set as seen in videos posted to the TikTok account she shares with her mom.
Back in December, North showed off another glittering set of grillz that had diamonds and spiked edges.
However, it is her finger piercings which have put her at the center of controversy the past few months.
She first debuted a dermal piercing on her middle right finger back in August 2025, which consisted of two small silver balls below her knuckle on her middle finger.
Dermal piercings are unlike traditional piercings because the jewelry is held in place by a small anchor inserted under the skin.
Kardashian has faced backlash for letting North get the piercing as a minor due to the potential risks that come with it, including infection, keloid scarring or even rejection if not properly cared for.
North herself fired back at critics on TikTok In December and the young social media star added two more finger piercings to her collection in January.
The trendsetter never shies away from parading her unique fashion sense that blends luxury with streetwear.
Kanye may have influenced her style in the beginning, but North has evolved on her own trajectory from electric blue hair and piercings to spiked nail sets.
In a song co-written with her dad titled Piercing on My Hand and performed during a recent Kanye concert, she calls out her fashion choices.
‘Piercing on my hand, the other for them bands,’ North raps. ‘No friendship if you do not understand. Shopping in Japan that’s where I always am. Went to school for two days then I got banned.’
North rocked a wild outfit and her eye-catching blue locks at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California, where she took in Justin Bieber’s headlining set.
She was seen strolling the festival grounds in a black and white graphic print T-shirt, shorts and black platform boots crisscrossed with straps. Kardashian and her new beau F1 racer Lewis Hamilton were spotted nearby.
The mother-of-four has supported North’s uniquely singular style and encourages her eldest daughter to express herself.
In an October 2025 episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast, the SKIMS founder said she does give North fashion tips.
‘She does listen to me, but in other areas, I’m like, “Babe, if you want blue hair, it is what it is,”‘ Kardashian revealed.
She added, ‘It makes her so happy. I would never take that creative away from her.’
North’s Coachella outing came after the UK government banned her father from entering the country amid backlash over his history of anti-Semitic and pro-Nazi remarks. Kanye was forced to cancel his headlining show at London’s Wireless Festival.
In January, the Gold Digger rap artist took out a full-page ad in the Wall Street Journal to apologize to the Jewish community, blaming his battle with bipolar disorder for his past discriminatory actions, but it clearly was not enough.
