Photos of actress Nicola Peltz before she was famous have resurfaced online amid her husband Brooklyn Beckham’s ugly fall out with his famous parents.
The daughter of billionaire investor Nelson Peltz and model Claudia Heffner Peltz was a fixture on red carpets long before she became a household name, having attended glitzy New York Fashion Week events and movie premieres as a youngster.
While Nicola, 30, once insisted her parents were ‘against’ her pursing an acting career, it is clear she proved quite persuasive: she entered showbusiness when she was just 11 after landing her first film role.
When she was a teenager, she went on to star in movies such as The Last Airbender and Transformers: Age Of Extinction.
Then in 2024 – two years after she married Brooklyn in a romantic ceremony in Palm Beach, Florida – she directed, wrote and starred in her own self-funded film, Lola.
Over the years, rumors have circulated on social media about the change to her appearance while she transformed from fledgling starlet to A-lister, with some observers speculating she may have had undergone plastic surgery and cosmetic enhancements including a nose job.
She has never publicly addressed the rumors, however she has openly discussed her beauty routine and her approach to getting older.
During an interview with Who What Wear last month in May, she expressed: ‘The older I get, the more I really try to learn about my skin…
‘Because I feel like something that you love could be really different on me because I have sensitive skin, and you probably have different skin.’
Nicola added, ‘I just love having conversations with other girls, learning about it, learning what they love, watching TikTok videos or Instagram things, and trying all the different products. I feel like my product drawer is about to break…’
When questioned if her ‘perspective’ on beauty has altered since turning 30 earlier this year in January, the actress replied with: ‘Definitely.’
‘I do think trying to enhance things rather than hide behind makeup is a huge conversation that I love to have.’
Peltz continued, ‘I think it’s beautiful that we all wear makeup and talk about it, but I think the thought behind it is equally as important.
‘I hope people look at makeup now to enhance rather than hide or cover. When I was in high school, I was like, “Oh, I want to hide behind this.”‘
Nicola has also offered her feelings about social media – including the negativity that occurs on the platforms.
‘It’s a shame when there’s not more love, especially on the internet,’ the star told Grazia in 2022.
‘I don’t understand the whole hating on other people’s Instagrams, but to each their own, I guess.’
Peltz added, ‘I think it’s really about surrounding yourself with really good people. I feel really lucky to have a good support system.’
At the age of 11, Nicola made her screen debut in the Christmas comedy film Deck The Halls (2006).
Four years later, she took on the role of Katara in The Last Airbender (2010) – although the project was critically panned at the time of its release in theaters.
She went on to appear in the 2014 film Transformers: Age Of Extinction and made a brief appearance in Transformers: The Last Knight with an uncredited voice cameo.
Peltz worked alongside Emma Roberts in Holidate (2020) and both starred in and directed the 2024 drama Lola.
‘Honestly, I didn’t plan on directing it, it just happened. It was really scary for me because I never directed before,’ she told Grazia.
‘Being in the pre-production process for the first time in my life and being able to cast the movie and being a part of every little detail was so amazing and I really hope I get to direct again.’
She also portrayed characters in the series Bates Motel (2013-2015) and the biographical miniseries Welcome To Chippendales (2022).
Along with acting roles, Nicola further jumped into the spotlight when she was first romantically linked to Brooklyn in 2019.
In June 2020, he popped the big question and the pair became engaged – less than a year after they started dating. Nicola and Brooklyn married in a romantic ceremony in Palm Beach, Florida in 2022.
Peltz and her stepmother Victoria Beckham were embroiled in rumors of a rift over her wedding dress – which the star later addressed.
She explained to Grazia that Victoria initially was meant to design a wedding gown – but ended up wearing Valentino instead due to Beckham’s atelier not being available.
But after seemingly squashing any reported feud at the time, Victoria and David appear to be involved in a new escalating rift with Nicola and son Brooklyn.
The pair were absent from David’s 50th birthday celebrations last month in May – and a source told People that ‘there are tensions.’
‘While the pair have been noticeably absent from the Beckhams’ recent functions, the relationship is definitely not beyond repair.’
The insider added, ‘They love and are always there for him. They’re just hurt and disappointed that he’s now playing no part in family life.’
And earlier on Tuesday, Nicola jumped to her main Instagram page to share sweet photos of herself and her husband to celebrate the fifth anniversary of their engagement.
Brooklyn also uploaded a gushing post and penned, ‘It’s been 5 years since I asked this beautiful woman to marry me xx best decision ever x I love you so much.’
