Iran has threatened to ‘rain fire’ on American ground troops as more US marines arrived in the Middle East on the warship USS Tripoli today.
Iranian outlets today published a message from Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf marking 30 days since the start of the war.
In the message, Ghalibaf said: ‘The enemy signals negotiation in public, while in secret it plots a ground attack.’
Earlier, Ghalibaf claimed Trump is preparing for an attack in secret, despite speaking of negotiations in public.
He added that Donald Trump’s ’15-point list’ is setting out the ‘wishes’ of the US and ‘pursuing what it failed to achieve in the war’.
Ghalibaf said Iranian forces are ‘waiting for American soldiers to enter on the ground so they can rain fire upon them’.
Regarding any potential surrender, he said in Arabic that Iran’s message is ‘clear’ and it will not accept ‘humiliation’.
