Mick Jagger, 82, hits the red carpet with fiancée Melanie Hamrick, 38

Mick Jagger put on a jovial display as he joined his stunning fiancée Melanie Hamrick at NYC Ballet’s Spring Fashion Gala on Thursday night.

The 82-year-old rocker was looking cool as ever in a skinny cut suit while his dancer partner, 38, put on a showstopping display in a silver gown.

Showing off her lithe dancer’s physique, Melanie looked breathtaking in the bedazzled gown which featured a sculpted top.

Mick meanwhile was playing the fool as he waved at cameras and pulled a series of silly faces while taking his glasses on and off.

Mick and Melanie have been together since 2014, but it wasn’t until April of this year that Hamrick revealed that they had gotten engaged two or three years earlier.

In 2016, the couple welcomed a son, Deveraux Octavian Basil, who was Hamrick’s first child and Jagger’s eighth.

Mick is also father to Karis, 55, with Marsha Hunt, Jade, 54, with Bianca Jagger, Elizabeth, 42, James, 40, Georgia, 34, Gabriel, 28, with Jerry Hall, and Lucas, 26, with Luciana Morad Gimenez.

Despite the lovebirds’ multi-decade age gap, Hamrick claimed in an interview with the Times of London from September 2024 that she ‘[doesn’t] think about’ their sizable difference in ages.

In the insightful chat, she said: ‘Everyone’s going to have their opinion. If you think about others’ opinions, no matter where you are in life, you’re going to have a problem and you’re going to analyze it,’

The couple met through serendipitous scheduling, as both the Rolling Stones and the American Ballet Theatre were on tour in Japan in February of 2014.

Hamrick ended up meeting the iconic singer with a friend backstage at a Stones concert, though it wasn’t until June of that year that the two became a couple.

Since then, the couple have joined forces to work on a ballet titled Porte Rouge, which featured Hamrick’s choreography set to multiple songs from Jagger’s Rolling Stones collaborations with longtime guitarist Keith Richards.

The outing comes after Mick joined fellow Rolling Stones Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood at the launch of their new album Foreign Tongues in New York on Tuesday.

Keith, 82, and Ronnie, 78, were as stylish as Mick as they posed together on the red carpet to celebrate the new record, which is set for release on the 10th July.

The 14-track collection from Polydor/ Universal Music comes less than three years after the band’s Grammy Award-winning Hackney Diamonds, which achieved multi-platinum success.

The lead single, In The Stars, will be released digitally on 5th May alongside the album’s opening track Rough and Twisted.

Foreign Tongues was brought to life in under a month at Metropolis Studios in West London, with Mick, Keith and Ronnie reuniting with Grammy-winning producer Andrew Watt, who also helmed Hackney Diamonds.

It also includes a special appearance from Charlie Watts, captured during one of his final recording sessions before his passing in 2021.

Additional contributions come from an impressive line-up of guest artists, including Steve Winwood, Paul McCartney, The Cure’s Robert Smith and Chad Smith of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Reflecting on the recording process, Sir Mick Jagger, 82, said: ‘I love doing these recording sessions in London at Metropolis.

‘It was a very intense few weeks recording Foreign Tongues. We had 14 great tracks and we went as fast as we could.

‘I like the room there as it’s not too big so you can feel the passion in the room from everyone.’

Keith Richards, 82, added: ‘The Foreign Tongues album has a continuity from Hackney Diamonds and it was great to be working in London again, and to have that London vibe around us. It was a month of concentrated punch.
