Machine Gun Kelly has given an emotional insight into his relationship with ex Megan Fox after welcoming their daughter together.
The 35-year-old musician, born Colson Baker, has been co-parenting daughter baby Saga Blade with his ex-fiancée after splitting over Thanksgiving – and had nothing but praise for the star during a chat on Friday’s Today Show.
‘Megan is a great mom,’ he gushed about the actress, 39, with whom he was in an on-off relationship for four years just days after hinting at their rumored reconciliation.
‘She’s killing it. I’m so excited,’ he said about the Transformers star’s fourth baby, who is also his second but their first child together.
On the morning show, he also opened up about the sentimental meaning behind their daughter’s name.
He explained that Saga’s name represents him and Fox’s journey of having a baby together.
They previously experienced a pregnancy loss, and the pair hinted about the devastating experience.
‘Coming back again, disappearing, coming back again,’ he said this week about their daughter’s name. ‘She is an epic story. And that’s what Saga means.’
He added: ‘I’m also of Norwegian heritage so that’s the Nordic goddess of storytelling.’
He also revealed what he hopes their daughter’s profession will be in the future.
‘I think she has a storytelling future ahead of her,’ he said.
MGK and Fox’s whirlwind romance dates back to 2020 when they started dating on the set of the 2021 crime thriller Midnight in the Switchgrass.
In late March, they welcomed their ‘little celestial seed,’ Saga. Over a year of dating, at the beginning of 2022, MGK proposed to Fox.
In early 2023, however, the ‘twin flames’ briefly split before reconciling shortly thereafter.
Later that same year, Fox revealed that they once suffered a miscarriage and made the heartbreaking confession in her poetry book, Pretty Boys Are Poisonous.
In February 2024, the singer also seemingly mentioned their loss in his song, ‘dont let me go,’ in which he sang: ‘How can I live with the fact / That my hand wasn’t on her stomach when we lost the baby.’
In November 2024, Fox announced she was pregnant and expecting a rainbow baby’ but they called it quits just a month later.
Previously, the actress was married to actor Brian Austin Green for a decade.
The exes, who were together for 16 years, are also parents to three sons: Noah, 12, Bodhi, 10, and Journey, eight.
MGK is also a father to his 15-year-old daughter Casie Colson Baker, whom he shares with his ex-girlfriend Emma Cannon.
