Marcus Rashford scores his first goal for Barcelona with cool finish

Marcus Rashford has got off the mark for Barcelona, scoring in Monday’s 5-0 friendly win over South Korean side Daegu.

The English star joined the LaLiga giants on a season-long loan from Man United two weeks ago with the club having with an option of signing him on a permanent basis for £30.3m at the end of the season.

He made his debut in the 3-1 win over Vissel Kobe days later before grabbing his first assist in the 7-3 triumph over Seoul.

And he now has his first goal for his new club, producing a cool finish in the second half against Daegu after being teed up by Eric Garcia.

The Spanish full-back picked up the ball on the right hand side of the area before squaring it to Rashford, who swept it first-time into the bottom right corner.

Gavi bagged a brace on the day while Robert Lewandowski and Toni Fernandez also got themselves on the scoresheet.

‘What the club stands for means a lot to me as well and it feels like I’m at home, and this is a big factor in my choice. It’s a family club people are comfortable here and it’s a good place for people to show their skills.

‘I try to make decisive actions and fast dynamic plays and I always like good football so I’ve always been a fan of watching Barcelona from a young age.

‘It’s going to be a joy for me to play here and I’m going to enjoy every minute of it.’

‘I am definitely full of excitement and hunger to go out and try an help the team win.
