Kelly Osbourne has shared a touching social media post about no longer being able to call her father Ozzy following his death in July last year.

The TV personality, 41, has spoken candidly about struggling with grief following the passing of her father, who died of a cardiac arrest age 76.

Reflecting eight months on from his passing, Kelly shared her feelings on the heartbreaking notion of never being able to phone her dad again.

Kelly, who was famously close to her late father, wrote: ‘You think your life is hard? Wait until you can’t call your dad anymore.’

Ozzy made no secret of the fact that he shared a close bond with his daughter Kelly, gushing about their relationship throughout his life.

The Black Sabbath rocker had never been shy to brand Kelly his ‘favourite,’ with viewers getting a glimpse at their sweet connection in The Osbournes reality show.

Ozzy had three children with his wife Sharon – Aimee, 40, Kelly and Jack, 38.

Before that, Ozzy adopted his first wife, Thelma Mayfair’s son from a previous marriage, Elliot Kingsley, who is now aged 57, and they also had two children together: Louis and his older sister, Jessica Osbourne, who is an actress who appeared in Better Call Saul.

Fans got a glimpse of Ozzy’s playful side through his relationship with his daughter Kelly, with the pair regularly seen laughing and embracing on their Noughties show.

And the hitmaker’s bond with his daughter carried on to his love for her son Sidney, admitting in 2023 interview he’d embraced being a grandfather.

Speaking about Kelly’s son, he said: ‘I can already see what’s he gonna be like. He’s gonna be a real proper little boy, poking sticks and setting fire to things. Just like I was!

‘We get on great, and it’s just f***ing wonderful. I never had a chance to see much of my kids growing up because I was always on the road. But being at home has allowed me to do that as a grandad, and little Sid is just f***ing great. He really is.

‘It’s been the making of Kelly too. If I’ve got a favourite kid, it’s Kelly.’

He was asked: ‘Are Jack and Aimee aware of that?’

And he replied: ‘Oh, they know it! Me and Kelly, we’re like two peas in a pod!’

Kelly has been open about her grief online and previously shared a heartfelt post about grief, saying it is ‘the quiet weight you learn to carry’.

Taking to Instagram in February, she wrote: ‘Some grief doesn’t end. It changes shape. It becomes the quiet weight you learn to carry, the ache woven into your days.

‘Making it through doesn’t mean leaving it behind. It means finding the strength to live and love and keep going even with forever resting in your heart.

‘When grief feels endless and disastrous, like it’s unmaking you from the inside out, surviving isn’t about conquering it. It’s about enduring it.

‘It’s about standing in the wreckage of our own heart and whispering, “I am still here,” even when every part of you feels shattered and like you don’t want to be here!’

Kelly is going through a difficult time following the death of her father and split from her partner Sid Wilson, who she shares her son Sidney with.

Kelly shared a cryptic post about not seeing ‘people through the lens of who you wish them to be.

She split from her fiancé and father of her child after four years together and 27 years of friendship.

The Daily Mail later revealed the truth about her relationship with new hairdresser partner Kiinicki. Read it about it here.

Taking to Instagram on Saturday, Kelly shared a quote that read: ‘When people reveal themselves to you, believe them, stop seeing them through the lens of who you wish them to be.’

Another quote she shared read: ‘The scariest version of me isn’t angry. It’s silent. My silence means you will never receive my efforts again.’

The couple quietly ended their engagement after the Slipknot DJ, 49, proposed to Kelly at her late father’s final concert with Black Sabbath in Birmingham last July.

Insiders close to the star told the Daily Mail she has endured a ‘difficult’ month, coping with the separation while continuing to focus on being the best mother she can be to their son, who is named after his father.

A source revealed: ‘Kelly and Sid have decided to call off their engagement. Kelly has been struggling following the loss of her father. The grieving process has been incredibly difficult, and she’s been doing everything she can to cope.’

‘In truth, she and Sid have been facing challenges in their relationship for some time, and things were not as they appeared.’

‘They tried to make it work, particularly for the sake of their child, but ultimately decided that separating is the best path forward.’

‘Kelly has endured a great deal over the past year. Despite everything, she remains sober and is now focusing on herself and her role as a mother moving ahead.’

The star was first introduced to Sid when Slipknot toured with Ozzfest, the music festival founded by her parents.
