Katie Price is supported by her children as she makes major comeback

Katie Price’s children Junior and Princess Andre have publicly congratulated their mother after she made a shock musical comeback. 

In recent days, the star’s 2017 hit, I Got U, has been bizarrely re-entering the public sphere eight years on – now managing to surpass its initial performance in the charts. 

While it failed to take off at first, the song has now seen an incredible resurgence in popularity thanks to her fans – reaching number three in the UK charts as well as number one in the iTunes dance chart. 

Her 2019 dance tune Hurricane has also been climbing up the charts, reaching number six on iTunes.  

Her eldest children were quick to react to the news on social media, with Junior, 20, penning: ‘Number one and number six! [Laughing emoji]. Well done mum.’

Princess, 18, also showed her support, sharing ‘well done mum’ alongside a clapping emoji and heart emoji. 

Katie took to Instagram to reveal the moment she learnt her tune had hit number three on the chart, filming herself listening to the radio and cheering as the news was announced. 

The mother of five chuckled away as the radio presenter declared: ‘No one knows why, not even Katie Price. The highest new entry is Katie Price with I Got U.’

Katie’s representative told the Daily Mail: ‘This is a massive surprise for Kate, she’s always loved singing and this is a dream come true! 

‘She is having so much support from the public and can’t thank them enough for her latest entrance into the charts.’

The boost for Katie comes as her feud with ex Peter Andre was dragged back into the spotlight this month following the launch of their daughter Princess’s new reality show.

A devastated Katie claimed she was ‘banned’ from taking part in the six-part series, which features Peter and his wife Emily MacDonagh.

She had urged Peter to sit down with her in a bid to end the feud and also claimed on a podcast that she and the Mysterious Girl singer equally shared their children Junior, 20, and Princess, 18.

However, in an explosive statement, Peter said: ‘For sixteen years, I have stayed silent in the face of repeated lies from my ex-wife and her family, out of respect for my children and loved ones, but staying silent has been incredibly frustrating. That ends today.

‘The latest comments about my children’s welfare and living arrangements compel me to se the record straight. For well-documented reasons, and for their safety, Junior and Princess came into my care in 2018 and remained with me until they reached adulthood.

‘In 2019, the family courts issued a legally binding order to enforce this arrangement. I have never made this public before, out of respect for my children.’ 

Last month, Katie was left ‘blindsided’ after her ex Alex Reid shared a video that showed Katie, who at the time had been declared bankrupt, counting a wad of notes. 

Katie’s friends told The Sun they were surprised at how calmly she had handled the situation and that she was ‘taking legal advice’.

They told the publication: ‘This isn’t the first time Katie’s ex-husbands and partners have ganged up on her, but the last time it happened, it drove her over the edge and we were all seriously worried about her. This time around though, she is in a completely different place.’

Katie’s representative had nothing to add when contacted by the Daily Mail.

A friend of Alex’s told The Sun that his work opportunities dried up in the wake of his split from Katie, and that he had grown tired of seeing her flaunt a luxurious lifestyle while he lives ‘month to month’.
