Katie Price has broken her silence on her decade-long feud with Kelly Brook after the glamour model entered the I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! jungle this week.
The pair have famously had a strained relationship and exchanged a string of swipes over the years, with both also enjoying a romance with rugby player Danny Cipriani.
Katie had also previously blasted Kelly in a 2013 column where she branded her a ‘heffer’, with the model then hitting out at her rival for the ‘unladylike’ remarks.
But speaking in a new episode of her podcast The Katie Price Show, the reality star said she ‘doesn’t remember’ her negative comments about Kelly,
Adding that she was ‘rooting’ for Kelly in the jungle, she also blasted their shared ex Danny, calling him a ‘k**b and a player.’
Danny and Kelly dated for around two years between 2008 and 2010, with both accusing the other of infidelity during their romance.
A year after splitting from Kelly, Danny went on to date Katie following her marriage split from Alex Reid, but this ended when she claimed he’d cheated on her.
Speaking to her sister Sophie about her former boyfriend, Katie poked fun at the size of Danny’s manhood before declaring: ‘He’s a player.’
Sophie added: ‘He was an absolute k**b to you that guy. I remember Dad meeting him and even Dad was like ‘he’s a k**b.’
Referring to her barbed comments about Kelly, the model said: ‘ I can’t remember calling her a heffer, she’s always been bigger built than me she’s always had that voluptious figure.
‘What did I say at the beginning of the show? Stunning, beautiful so there you go. I am rooting for Kelly! From one glamour girl to another!’
Katie famously made the pointed remarks to Kelly in a column for The Sun, where she offered a string of backhanded compliments about how ‘big’ she was.
Katie said at the time: ‘Kelly is a brilliant role model for young girls because of her curvy figure. Every mum should make her daughter look at the recent set of pictures that show Kelly modelling her latest New Look range in Miami.
‘They don’t appear to be airbrushed and I’m FLABbergasted to see how big Kelly really is.
‘Rumour has it she’s been hanging out with our mutual ex Danny Cipriani. Knowing him, I guess she’s probably been doing a bit of comfort eating. You’re a heffer, Kelly, but still a hot one.’
Kelly then hit back at Katie for the ‘unladylike’ remarks, and an interview a week later, addressed being ‘attacked’ by another female celebrity, which was clearly a reference to her feud with Katie.
She told OK Magazine: ‘I didn’t until recently! Then when I was attacked unfairly by another female celebrity, so many women jumped to my defence – I was overwhelmed.
‘Women would contact me and say they loved my body and that I was beautiful. I was so touched. It’s hard being 33 and being a model but I do it because it’s nice to have a real representation of a woman out there.
‘Now I’m very proud to be curvy, prouder than ever because of these beautiful strong women that had my back. Us girls need to stick together. I love that women love my body!’
Kelly then took her own swipe at Katie by comparing her to the tanned and wrinkled character Magda from the film There’s Something About Mary.’
Katie then attempted to rebuild bridges with Kelly by posting a grovelling apology on X a month later.
She tweeted: ‘I’m really sorry for what I’ve done you know I think your a natural beautiful girl we go back a long way so I’m sorry xx.’
Following the apology, the pair did appear to patch things up, with Kelly later saying on Celebrity Juice: ‘I’ve got nothing against Katie Price at all now. I like her. We’ve got mutual friends and go a long way back.’
When quizzed by host Keith Lemon, who frequently referred to Danny as Danny Cappuccino, she added: ‘I owe her a lot actually. She was the one who warned me about Cappuccino and his cheating ways.
‘So that’s it Katie and me are officially over it and I don’t hold a grudge. If it wasn’t for her I’d still be dealing with Danny. So thank you, Katie.’
Kelly has joined a string of stars including rapper Aitch, former Lioness Alex Scott and musician Martin Kemp in the I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here jungle, and is set to face her first Bushtucker Trial in Thursday’s show.
