The Princess of Wales is celebrated for her timeless style, turning heads at every royal appearance – from formal state banquets to casual engagements.

So it’s no wonder she has earned a spot on British Vogue’s inaugural best-dressed list.

Alongside icons such as Kate Moss and Victoria Beckham, Kate is recognised as one of the magazine’s Eternal Influencers.

Below, we revisit some of the Princess’ most memorable looks from the past year.

Phillipa Lepley Darling coat

Kate has long perfected the art of regal eveningwear, but one of her most unforgettable looks came at the state banquet hosted for Donald and Melania Trump.

On this occasion, she dazzled in a couture creation by Phillipa Lepley: a silk crepe gown layered beneath a hand-embroidered gold Chantilly lace evening coat.

Polished to perfection with gold Aquazzura court shoes and the iconic Lover’s Knot Tiara, the ensemble was widely praised as one of her greatest style triumphs – an outfit truly fit for a future Queen.

Victoria Beckham trouser suit

Kate rewore her striking Victoria Beckham trouser suit for a royal engagement in Oxford, after debuting the 70s-inspired design at the British Fashion Council event.

The impeccably tailored ensemble features a longline single-breasted blazer paired with wide-leg trousers, complete with distinctive patch pockets – a bold yet sophisticated look that perfectly balances structure and ease.

While this statement-making suit may not be for the faint-hearted, it’s surprisingly versatile. Dress it down with loafers for a chic off-duty vibe or style it with heels for a polished office-ready outfit.

Emilia Wickstead bespoke coat

Kate embraced the burgundy trend head-to-toe when she and the Royal Family welcomed President Donald Trump and the First Lady to Windsor.

The Princess wore a bespoke Emilia Wickstead coat, teamed with a Jane Taylor veiled hat and Gianvito Rossi suede court shoes.

Her wool crepe coat dress, based on the Chaney design, featured a double-breasted front, cinched waist and flattering pleat detailing that added fluidity to the look.

Talbot Runhof velvet Bobonne dress

The Princess of Wales never fails to leave a memorable impression at the Royal Variety Performance.

This year, she embraced the festive spirit in a deep green velvet Talbot Runhof dress, crafted from comfortable stretch velvet. The clever shoulder-draping detail created the illusion of short sleeves while accentuating the decolletage.

To complete the look, she teamed it with matching green velvet Manolo Blahnik court shoes, her signature silver Jenny Packham clutch, and a selection of royal heirlooms: the Greville Chandellier Earrings and Queen Mary’s Choker Bracelet.

Alessandra Rich Envers peplum detail dress

Each year, the Princess of Wales attends the Remembrance Festival in an ensemble that strikes the perfect balance between elegance and reverence.

This year was no exception, as Kate chose a sophisticated new dress by one of her go-to designers, Alessandra Rich.

Her black Envers midi dress, complete with a contrasting lace-trimmed collar, bow detailing and a flattering peplum waist, delivered a masterclass in timeless style.

Kate complemented the look with recycled accessories: Gianvito Rossi court shoes, a Mulberry clutch, and Queen Elizabeth II’s Bahrain pearl earrings.

Catherine Walker wool coat and Troy London faux fur collar

The Princess of Wales is known for her love of rewearing her wardrobe, and she delighted royal fans with her outfit choice for the Together at Christmas carol concert.

Arriving at Westminster Abbey, Kate exuded elegance in a hunter green Catherine Walker coat, which she debuted in 2020.

As on previous outings, she elevated the look with a faux fur lapel collar by Troy London, adding a wintery finish to the double-breasted design.

Kate completed the ensemble with her trusty Ralph Lauren knee-high boots and sparkling Robinson Pelham earrings, bringing together a polished and festive look.
