Jonathan Ross transforms home into a spooky spectacular for Halloween

Jonathan Ross transformed his house into a spooky spectacular for the Halloween trick-or-treaters in London on Friday.

The Traitors star, 64, who was banished from the show this week, cancelled his legendary Halloween parties during the pandemic and hasn’t hosted one since.

Jonathan revealed he stopped hosting the annual bash because of his daughter Betty’s health battle with fibromyalgia because it didn’t think it would be fair for them to be having a party while she’s feeling unwell.

Instead, Jonathan puts on a spooky show at his elaborately decorated home for families to pass by.

As prep got underway, lorry vans were seen arriving to set up the display, which featured skulls, cobwebs, and a number of performers.

The presenter said his party, famous for welcoming plenty of star-studded guests, would cost a ‘fortune’.

Speaking to Ed Gamble on The Traitors: Uncloaked this week, Jonathan lifted the lid on his iconic Halloween parties.

He said: ‘I might do another one before I go, but they cost a fortune.’

‘Because we became such a well-known event, every time I did something people would be like, “Are you doing a Halloween party?”, he added.

‘Of the adults I invited. I only genuinely knew 30% of them. And the others, I liked them all, but I didn’t know them.’

Jonathan’s party was previously attended by the likes of Dame Joan Collins, Holly Willoughby, Nicole Scherzinger, Alan Carr, Rita Ora and Michael McIntyre.

Spice Girl Mel C, Katherine Ryan, Wallis Day, Joel Dommett and his model wife Hannah Cooper and Charli Howard were also among the star-studded guest list

Jonathan revealed he would not be inviting any celebrities to his home once again out of consideration for his daughter Betty, 34, and her battle with fibromyalgia, a condition causing muscle pain and tenderness.

Jonathan, who also shares Harvey, 31, and Honey, 29, with wife Jane Goldman opened up last year on his decision to cancel the bash.

He explained: ‘One of our children isn’t well… it’s fibromyalgia which is quite debilitating. She’s back home with us and we’re looking after her.

‘My daughter, we thought she had Long Covid but discovered that she had fibromyalgia, so we want to be conscious of that and not have so much noise when she’s upstairs.’

Jonathan’s daughter Betty previously shared the news about her diagnosis on Instagram, writing: ‘Fibromyalgia? I hardly know her. This is me letting y’all know I got a Fibromyalgia diagnosis.

‘Shout out to the four people who all said they thought I had fibro, turns out y’all were right. There’s always a lot of weird feelings that come with a new diagnosis, but this one overall feels like a relief.

‘It feels like my pain being acknowledged, and that with this diagnosis I can better find ways of managing my pain.’

The party was cancelled for two years – in 2020 due to the Covid pandemic and the following year because his daughter Betty was struggling with fibromyalgia.

When it returned in October 2022, it was held at Camden nightspot KOKO for the first time instead of Jonathan’s famous home.
