Joleon Lescott is called out for his ‘fake-looking’ jet-black hair

Former England footballer Joleon Lescott has been called out for a ‘fake-looking’ jet-black hair transformation.

The pundit debuted the results of his hair transplant back in January, with fans claiming he looked ‘unrecognisable’ following his procedure.

But the sportsman-turned-DJ snagged particular attention on Tuesday night for his latest look.

And fans unleashed a few jokes at the former defender’s expense after weeks of only posting images where he was wearing a hat.

‘Lescott’s hair transplant is ridiculous,’ wrote one on X.

Joleon Lescott took some heat on social media for his jet-black hair transformation

The pundit, who revealed his transplant in January, was covering the Champions League

‘I get Lescott has had a hair transplant but please don’t dye your hair pitch black, at least leave a few grey hairs to keep it realistic,’ another said.

‘It was nice of Mikel Arteta to loan his hair out to Joleon Lescott for the evening,’ one said.

‘WTAF has Lescott done to his hair?! Never do block dye, fellas,’ another wrote.

‘Joleon Lescott has the fakest looking hair I’ve ever seen in my life,’ one commented.

‘Lescott’s hair transplant is diabolical,’ said another, while another commenter added: ‘Nah man, that’s been edited on Microsoft Paint!’

Lescott is making his way as a pundit and was appearing on TNT Sports’ coverage of the Champions League.

The former Manchester City and Everton defender had short hair during his career above the facial scars he suffered in a car accident as a child.

But he took the plunge with a hair transplant, showing it off in January, albeit with a slightly lighter shade.

He ended his career having won every available honour in English football with Lescott’s time at Man City seeing him lift two Premier League titles, the FA Cup, and League Cup.

And he is still going, actually. Lescott turns out for ninth-tier club Wythenshawe FC Vets along with his ex-City teammates Stephen Ireland and Nedum Onuoha, as well as former Burnley midfielder George Boyd.

Wythenshawe FC Vets have been racking up their goal difference to cement their position at the top of the league in recent games, currently sitting nine points and 19 goals ahead of second-placed South Liverpool, who have six points and a goal difference of three.

This surge has come since the arrival of the ex-professionals, who collectively boast 822 Premier League appearances, to the over-35 side.

Wythenshawe recently thrashed Radcliffe FC Old Boys 10-1 in a game that saw Boyd find the back of the net five times, Ireland four and Lescott – who has been reborn as a striker – also getting in on the act.

When he is not playing, Lescott is building his career as a DJ. In September, he made his debut at the Ministry of Sound nightclub in London, having performed at Reading Festival over the summer.
