Tense moment John Cena lashes out at WWE fan for breaking golden rule

  • This is the tense moment that saw John Cena briefly snub a WWE fan
  • The incident was seen in a video posted to TikTok by user @theorginalityshow
  • Fan filming the encounter initially felt the wrath of 48-year-old Cena

This is the tense moment that saw John Cena lash out at a WWE fan after he broke an unwritten rule after the pair met backstage.

The incident was seen in a video posted to TikTok by user @theorginalityshow on Tuesday that saw the individual initially incur the wrath of 48-year-old Cena.

He can be seen recording Cena backstage, which appeared to irk the star.

After approaching the camera, Cena can be heard saying: ‘I’m a big fan of consent, right, so if you would like to take a video [please ask]’.

Cena then walked away from the person filming him, before returning to apologise for doing so.

He said: ‘I’m sorry for walking away from you. I just [felt] like I was in a tough situation. I just know it’s kind of chaos back here’.

The pair can then be seen shaking hands after the incident, as their meeting ended on good terms.

Cena then adds: ‘It’s all good. I’ll give you whatever you want as long as you ask’.

The duo then exchanged a firm handshake as they marked their appreciation for one another following their initially frosty introduction.

Reacting to the video in the comments section, people were split over why Cena reacted in such fashion.

One user wrote: ‘He is so respectful that he came and apologised for being nice while saying no. He truly is a class act’.

A second added: ‘I don’t think you’ll ever find a celebrity like John Cena. So genuine’.

Another commented: ‘Is there a reason he singled this guy out?

‘He’s walking around some kind of backstage fan event thing with multiple people pointing their phones and cameras at him.’

Clarifying why the person recording appeared to touch a nerve, a reply read: ‘Probably because of the “spy glasses”. No one likes being secretly filmed, at least he can spot the regular cameras’.
