Jason Statham and Pierce Brosnan lead stars at Benn vs Eubank Jr

Jason Statham, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Pierce Brosnan brought a touch of glamour to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday night, as they led the famous faces turning out to watch Conor Benn vs Chris Eubank Jr.

The stars from the worlds of music, film and fashion were sat ringside as Benn earned a dominant victory over Eubank Jr – marking his family’s first win in the 35-year Benn-Eubank saga.

Hollywood star Jason, 58, looked suave in a brown check suit as he chatted and posed with controversial Saudi Arabian boxing chief Turki Al-Sheikh.

The action hero was seen adopting a signature ‘hard man’ pose, complete with a snarl and raised fist.

He was joined by his model fiancée Rosie, 38, who commanded attention in a pair of leather trousers and a sparkly crop top that displayed her toned midriff.

Sat on Jason’s other side was director Guy Ritchie, who was seen in fits of laughter alongside the actor ahead of the fight.

The two pals are frequent collaborators, having made five films together over the past two decades, since first working together in 1998’s Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, which brought them both to global fame.

Meanwhile, James Bond star Pierce put on a typically dashing display in a navy blue suit and coordinating tie, as he arrived at the arena.

The Irish actor, 72, looked in cheerful spirits as he sat next to music legend Rod Stewart, with the two men seen larking about and unable to contain their guffaws.

And Spice Girl Emma Bunton also made an appearance, looking conversely quite tense as she clutched her handbag to her before the bout began.

Fellow singer Olly Murs was also present in the arena, to support his boxer friend Sam Gilley – with whom he has sparred for four years – who went up against Ishmael Davis on the undercard of Eubank vs Benn.

However, Davis beat Gilley out to win the British and Commonwealth junior middleweight titles in a pulsating 12-round battle.

Following his dominant victory, Benn declared the Benn-Eubank family saga has come to an end and confirmed his plan to move back down to welterweight and claim a world title.

The 29-year-old earned a unanimous 119-107, 116-110, 118-108 win over Eubank Jr to level their personal head-to-head at one fight apiece, avenging his loss back in April.

It marked his family’s first win in the 35-year saga, with their father’s Eubank Sr and Nigel having met twice in the 1990s and Eubank winning one fight, while the other was a draw.

Speaking immediately after the fight, Benn looked to end possible talk of a trilogy between the pair.

He told DAZN: ‘I want to thank everyone that has come out tonight, it’s been some journey. This is the end of the Benn Eubank saga, over.

‘Chris has twins coming and I have my boy, but this ends here. Everyone says I can’t box, put that in your pipe and smoke it.’

He added: ‘This wouldn’t have been what it was without Chris, our dads most of all. This is generational, never been done before in history, so credit to Chris. Thank you for sharing the ring with me. Not bad for two silver spoon kids.’

By contrast, the defeat Eubank Jr left the door open for the two fighters to unite in the ring for the third time.

Eubank Jr, 36, hinted at having suffered from issues in the build-up to their rematch, but offered his congratulations to Benn, admitting he was the ‘better man’ on the night.

He said: ‘I’ve been through hell and back to get to this night, it is what is it. I tried my best, the kid fought hard, he has power. We put on a show, Benn was the better man tonight.

‘It’s 1-1, I have to go away and deal with some of the things I’ve been dealing with over the past few months.

‘Who knows, maybe we will see something new with me and him, or maybe we won’t. Right now, it’s his night.’
