Jack Whitehall described his upcoming wedding as ‘Downton Abbey meets EastEnders’ – as he prepares to marry model Roxy Horner.

The comedian, 37, has been with Roxy, 34, since 2020 and the couple announced their engagement in 2024.

A year earlier, in September 2023, Jack and Roxy announced the birth of their first child.

Appearing on this Saturday’s episode of The Jonathan Ross Show, the comic and actor shares his excitement for his soon-to-be nuptials.

He says: ‘I’m very excited – it’s going to be great. It’s the first time our families are ever coming together.

‘I’ve met her family, but my family have not met her family.

‘My family, and it will come as no surprise to you, are a bunch of gilet wearing chinless toffs and her family are proper cockney, all West Ham fans, proper salt of the earth.’

Referencing fellow show guest Danny Dyer, Jack adds: ‘Her uncle Gary makes Danny look like Jacob Rees-Mogg.

‘It’s going to be a mash-up of Downton Abbey and EastEnders.’

In just a matter of days, Jack will take up hosting duties for The BRITS once again – marking the sixth time he’s presented the ceremony.

Revealing his anticipation for the event, the comedian says: ‘Personally I’m so excited – Harry Styles back at the BRITs.

‘He’s doing a performance of his song Aperture, that’s going to be one to look forward to.’

Jack also teases his mother Hillary’s fashion plans for the star-studded ceremony as he told of her intention to replicate Chappell Roan’s daring Grammys look.

He shares: ‘She’s threatening to. I did actually see her the other day.

‘She was over to babysit my daughter and I looked over her shoulder and she was on Amazon and she was scrolling and trying to purchase this see-through breast plate.’

Meanwhile, Jack also opened up about a recent awkward celebrity encounter.

He recalls: ‘I went to the Maldives. I tell quite a lot of jokes about people on shows like the BRITs and I’m always worried I’ll bump into these people.

‘I was on this holiday and I was in a restaurant with Roxy having a lovely dinner, and Craig David walked into the restaurant.

‘I was like, ‘No, I’ve said so many jokes about him. This is so awkward.’

‘He started walking over towards the table. ‘Roxy, head down.’

‘He was like, ‘Hey Roxy, so good to see you. How are you?’

‘Roxy had a little chat with him and he didn’t even address me and walked off.

‘She went, ‘Oh yeah, me and Craig, we used to hang out back in the day.”

The Jonathan Ross Show airs Saturday at 9:25pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
