Jack Whitehall is roasted for being a ‘privately educated nepo baby’

Becky Hill has roasted Jack Whitehall on a her new album Rebecca, after the privately educated comedian cruelly branded her ‘Wetherspoons Whitney’ at the 2025 BRIT Awards.

The Worcestershire born songstress, 32, explained how she had ‘let loose’ on the new record as she speaks out on ‘classism’.

Nepo baby Jack, 37, who has hosted the BRITs six times, is the son of talent agent Michael Whitehall, 86, who has represented the likes of Dame Judi Dench, Daniel Day-Lewis and Colin Firth.

After being educated at £60K-a-year Marlborough College alongside Robert Pattinson and future Princess of Wales Kate Middleton, Jack is said to have then gone on to work for his dad’s former boss before launching his own showbiz career.

Debuting the track at an intimate gig earlier this week, she told the audience: ‘I’ve had enough of all this s*** so I wrote about it. This song, I’m affectionately calling Wetherspoons Whitney, but you lot will know it as Daddy’s Range Rover. This one’s for you, Jack’.

The lyrics read: “Just ’cause your daddy worked in showbiz, got you a job with his old boss. I bet you didn’t even notice. The opportunities you got.”

“You judge me on my accent before I even start, but you know nothing about me. What can I do? I’ll never be like you’ as reported by The Sun.

Daily Mail has contacted Jack Whitehall’s representatives for comment.

The comedian once again presented the iconic awards show earlier this year, but viewers criticised him for ‘punching down’ as viewers hit out at his ‘painful posh boy schtick’.

He hosted the ceremony from Manchester’s Co-op Live Arena – marking the awards’ first year outside of London.

While Jack appeared to be on fire with his one-liners at the start of the show, viewers’ praise soon turned to criticism.

He was accused of making digs aimed at the working class during the ceremony, with the funnyman making a joke at an audience member’s suit he claimed was made of low-quality material. You can read the full story here.

Jack also addressed the BRITs moving to Manchester calling the city the ‘G spot of the North’ as well as Oasis reuniting as cameras focused on Noel Gallagher in the arena. You can read the full story here.

It comes after Becky married her long-time love, Charlie Gardner.

The couple, who have been engaged since January 2022, tied the knot in an idyllic beach ceremony in Falmouth, Cornwall, in September 2025.

The Crazy What Love Can Do songstress looked sensational in a corseted gown with long gloves, a billowing skirt and an elegant veil, however, she was forced to remove her shoes in the sand while Charlie opted for trainers.

Cementing her celebrity status with her guest list, stars including Ella Eyre and Gareth Gates watched on from the sand as the couple wed.

The singer made the happy announcement with a slew of snaps and the caption: ‘Turns out he actually does like me’ followed by a diamond ring emoji.

The couple have been together for 10 years and while Becky has enjoyed huge chart success, Charlie, who works in the events industry, has stayed out of the spotlight.

Her engagement came after Becky spoke to The Daily Mail and admitted she finds going abroad ‘especially difficult’ due to archaic attitudes towards her ‘queerness’.

A reclaimed slur, the umbrella term is used by anybody who does not identify as heterosexual or within the gender binary.

Becky declared herself a member of the LGBTQ+ community in 2021 however was left feeling perplexed following an interview in Poland.

Becky Hill’s new album Rebecca is released September 25, pre-order it now.
