Jack Osbourne and his rarely seen older brother have reflected on the thousands of fans who lined the streets for father Ozzy’s funeral – admitting they get ‘goosebumps’ thinking about it.

The Black Sabbath rocker, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2019, passed away at the age of 76 on July 22 surrounded by his family.

He was buried a week later on July 30.

On the latest episode of his podcast Trying Not To Die, Jack, 40, sat down with his older brother Louis to reflect on their father’s touching send-off.

Jack asked him: ‘Since dad’s passed what’s been the standout thing for you that you were like “I was not expecting that?”‘

Louis, who is Ozzy’s eldest son, born during his relationship with Thelma Riley, said: ‘The volume of people at the cortege.

Jack and his brother discussed being blown away by the thousands of fans who turned out for Ozzy's funeral in the summer

‘Because it’s my hometown where the cortege was, I live in Birmingham and I know the street that was going to be on.’

Recalling the emotional day, he continued: ‘As we turned onto the street, or just slightly before we turned onto the street, I just thought it was going to be like two or three people deep for like half a kilometer before where the Black Sabbath bridge was and it would be a throng.

‘As we came towards the street and turn onto the street, I’m getting goosebumps thinking about it now, it was f***ing insane.

‘Like people climbing up lampposts, hanging out of windows, standing on top of bus stops to get a look of it. It was awe inspiring.

‘Once we had all got out of the cars and showed our respects, and put some flowers down and moved on again, it kept on going for another half a mile and then people were following us all around town.

‘I knew people loved him, but I didn’t have a sense of how many and how much.’

He added that a friend of his likened the incredible turnout to the mourners who lined the streets for the funeral of Princess Diana in 1997.

Ozzy’s bereft wife Sharon was snapped being consoled by Jack and his sister Kelly, 41, as she lay a single red rose for her husband during the procession.

This week, I’m A Celebrity fans have watched Jack recounted the ‘shock’ news of his dad’s passing as told his fellow campmates it ‘still feels fresh’.

The emotional moment began with Emmerdale star Lisa Riley asking about Ozzy while she and Jack sat around the campfire.

In response, Jack admitted of his father’s passing: ‘It was definitely a shock.

‘I mean we knew he was sick for a while but it was definitely a shock, I mean we didn’t know it would be that quick..’

At this point, Jack then became visibly teary with Lisa offering her support to him.

He then addressed what Ozzy would think of him signing up to I’m A Celebrity.

Jack shared: ‘He’d be so supportive of this.’

Later on in The Bush Telegraph, the celebrity campmate revealed: ‘I’m still navigating it all, it’s been three nearly four months and so it’s still pretty fresh.’
